I've been wanting to build a zombie themed commander deck for a while now. I'm torn on the commander/colors I want. Currently its between Geth, Lord of the Vault and Sedris, the Traitor King. I know adding blue offers a bit more control and has the huge benefit of Rooftop Storm.
What are the benefits of running either mono black or B/R/U and what have you guys had he most fun with?

I'm not a fan of unearth especially when zombies have such an easy time coming back without being exiled afterwords. I'm also not sure what red really adds to zombies. I would highly recommend looking into amonkhet and orzhov since that brought us more white zombie stuff and there is Necromancer's Covenant. Otherwise Gisa and Geralf and Grimgrin, Corpse-Born are strong and give rooftop access. Geth is really cool too if you want that route but limits you to black.

Red gives access to such Zombies as Tymaret, the Murder King, Kraum, Ludevic's Opus or Nightfire Giant. You can also add Nicol Bolas - a serious argument I think. On the other side B/U seems to be easier to play. Look at my Twins of Innistrad (B/U Zombies and Shapeshifters). Maybe you'll find something useful.

Thanks for the input guys!Still haven't made up my mind but at this point I'm definitely leaning towards Sedris, the Traitor King. Geth is totally getting a spot in the 99 and red for artifact removal is a definite bonus.

You could add green. Green gives you additional ramp, has some solid zombies/reanimator support (e.g., Meren of Clan Nel Toth, Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, etc.), and you get tons of dredge support. Sidisi, Brood Tyrant is a stronger way to go for 3 color zombies in my opinion. Esper may be a thing once Hour of Devastation comes out and they flesh out White's support to the tribe some more.

Well If you want to consider other commanders, Sidisi, Brood Tyrant has my vote 100%. Green is way better in edh than red, with ramp/colour fixing (really handy with 3 colours), along with artifact AND enchantment removal.

I like my Ghoulcaller Gisa deck. It doesn't have the rooftop nor the control that blue/red gives the others. But sacking a zombie to make a bunch of zombies is fun especially with coat of arms in play.

My Sidisi, Brood Tyrant deck Centre for Disease Control is a Zombie swarm deck. Packed with lords, dredge guys to make more zombie tokens and some of the above mentioned reanimation cards (Havengul Lich for example.) I would recommend checking it out for some ideas. Personally while Grixis and Esper both have some good reasons to play them, none of them have a leader that ties them together like Sidisi.

Hey, I just want to throw in Sidisi, Undead Vizier. I've tried a lot of zombie list and she is by far my favorite because she's so consistent. You can play as aggressive combo finding Phyrexian Altar and Gravecrawler asap (occasional turn 4 or 5 win) or just play like zombie good stuff depending on the table you are at. Of the other commanders suggested I think Sidisi, Brood Tyrant is in the best colors, red(in grixis) doesn't offer nearly as much as green does imo.

I do like what green brings to the table in edh. If I end up going multi colored it's definitely going to be Sidisi, Brood Tyrant do thanks for the recommendation!
Thanks everyone for the input! Still have a lot to consider but I think I'm closer to actually building the deck!
MindAblaze and DRmagic2017 I checked out your decks and they both look awesome! They gave me some good ideas.

I have a Ghoulcaller Gisa deck that I enjoy. I have a few cards that abuse sacrifice triggers which I think is absolutely essential for a zombie deck, and I also picked mono black because that is the perfect color for running a subtheme of removal. Personally I recommend Sedris, (maybe even his buddy Thraximundar) But the colour advantage you get is really nice, and the addition of blue gives you a lot of cool/fun options. Like for example Havengul Runebinder, Stitcher Geralf, Gisa and Geralf, Diregraf Captain, and Grimgrin, Corpse-Born. Red even splashes in some fun with Deathbringer Thoctar, Warstorm Surge, Goblin Bombardment, Impact Tremors, and even some fun thievery like Zealous Conscripts. Heck red even throws in the addition of Artifact removal, something Black and blue lack in. Vandalblast, Rakdos Charm, and By Force would all be nice additions.
