Razulghul Blood Pet

I've been playing since around 2001 when my friends and I would do huge 6-8 player games with extremely casual decks in the high school cafeteria. I like multiplayer politics and play 4-player EDH when I can these days. My playstyle is to generally take down kings and prop up princes or in other words I take down whoever is winning and generally go for second or third place unless playing combo.

Hi again, I just wanted to resubmit my deck Reaver - Silas/Tymna Stax for a tier slot since I received no feedback last time. I have had the opportunity to try the deck against Kess, Oona, Zur and other popular tier 1-2 lists and the deck is consistent with it's current list. It wins a fair amount of these games to be considered competitive and possibly moves Silas to tier 2 I believe.

Hey just curious how attached you are to Esper? Red gives you the Myr Matrix and Mana Echoes combo which is fun and the welder stuff. I'd suggest trying out breya personally.

Sram, Senior Edificer is the most budget friendly. You won't have to buy expensive lands or the staples for card draw to compete.

Austere Command I think is still the best? Catastrophe, Akroma's Vengeance and Hour of Reckoning are pretty great too.

kyuuri117 I totally agree with you from the perspective of someone who submitted a deck for Ayli awhile back. I wasn't looking for someone to tear me a new one for omitting Mana Crypt etc. I was hoping someone would justify my deck choices based on hours of playtesting. I know better in a few ways now and after committing myself to stax I feel like I understand EDH a little better. Fast mana is generally always better but the meta you play in affects your opinions on the subject. Mana Crypt is a staple, without a doubt but if you choose to criticize everyone that submits a deck without it you are setting yourself up for battle after battle. In the end it is cEDH that takes the hit too, people start to feel cEDH belongs to some elite but the truth is the most budget cards absolutely destroy combo decks.

Going forward I'd ask that everyone evaluate decks not on what they plan to achieve but on how they plan to stop the other player from getting there first. It's a stax point of view but I think it is more valuable and promotes interaction which a lot of casual decks lack.

Bulldawg1310 awesome man, always cool to meet another fan! I have had the good fortune to see them both live at small venues in Portland, Or and they were some of the best concerts I'd ever been to. Type O started with their very first album and went through just about everything, World Coming Down still gives me chills. Machine Head is like fighting a battle haha, mosh pits everywhere and it was my first experience with the wall of death. I couldn't lift my arms after that one and my neck was stiff for days. I'm definitely going to be seeing them again I hope!

Type O Negative (All albums are great) is probably my all time favorite band. I have really been a fan of Machine Head's album The Blackening for a long time (Manson's Mechanical Animals a close second). Machine Head is the type of music made for being really really pissed off, got to love that and it's my go to for any gym time.
