Best NON-BLUE Control/Disruption Commander? (EDH)

Commander Deck Help forum

Hello, I am seeking to build a U-less EDH deck with a very control oriented theme. So, I am searching for a good commander that would fit this theme.

Just to clarify, I do not mean control as in lockdown, counter, prevention, etc. necessarily. The example that I am thinking of is like Doran, the Siege Tower. Most wouldn't see him as control. However, more often than not (in my play group at least) he disrupts the board by high power low toughness creatures being thrown for loops. So, kind fellow lovers of EDH using T/O, help me pwease. :3

Summary - LF Non-Blue Control Commander for EDH.

Thanks!

I just played an EDH game, where I basically was a control player. Though, I was playing mono green.

I played Naturalize, Duplicant, Terastodon, Eternal Witness - to get back some of those cards - and a Crushing Vines. It was great. Furthermore, people was afraid of attacking, since they could get a 9/9 thrown at them.

Though, if I would make a dedicated control deck, try out going Mardu with Sunforger. That thing is a beast. 1 card, that gives you any card. That's amazing!

Alesha, Who Smiles at Death is a great control commander.
The only difference between Blue-Control and Non-Blue-Control is you create such a board state that people wouldn't dare play a card into the chaos...
I also enjoy Abzan for control. Ghave, Guru of Spores is my favorite commander of all time and very versatile in creating a control deck, or aggro, or combo...
Good luck!

Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts its a passive approach to control but as long as people are not swinging lethal at you they tend to not want to attack you. add in Hissing Miasma, Dread, Grave Pact, Lightmine Field and others and attacking you becomes more trouble then it is worth. google rattlesnake effects for more options.

Toshiro Umezawa. Stack a ton of instant speed kill spells, stop anyone from touching you, then Exsanguinate the board.

Seriously, one of the most fun decks I've ever built. And it's usually fun for my opponents too, mostly because they can't believe what's happening.

Abzan control is disgusting.

I just built (last week) an Anafenza The Foremost quasi-prison deck. ALL the graveyard hate that I own, (Rest in Peace, Dryad Militant, Samurai of the Pale Curtain, ETC.) with all the pillowfort stuff too, (Sphere of Safety, Ghostly Prison etc.)

It's a particularly nasty deck, especially now that I've added a couple more sweepers and doubling effects, Primal Vigor, Panharmonicon Corpsejack Menace Parallel Lives, yadda yadda yadda.

Monoblack control is a thing with Chainer, Dementia Master at the helm. Although Cabal Coffers is the real commander.

If wiping the board repeatedly falls under your idea of control, there's also Zurgo Helmsmasher in the mardu camp. You can wipe on each of your turns while running a voltron package to ensure quick deaths to your opponents.
