RazortoothMtg you can only activate each once per turn.

I don't think cards that reference themselves in their activated abilities will work. Take Tree of Perdition for example. The card with that name is in exile. The card activating the ability is not the same name as the one named in the ability.

But something like Chainer, Dementia Master you get the activated ability but not the restriction in the next paragraph.

He has all the activated abilities but none of the downsides so things like Demonic Hordes is possible...

razaketh, the foulblooded is legit too.

I plan on abusing the hell out of Deadeye Navigator.

I also enjoy how Commander makes multi-modal cards super valuable over others when we always end up talking about what to cut instead of what to add. We know what should go in but what do we try to make room for?

Examples: Supreme Will, Golgari Charm, Decree of Pain

Hey! Welcome to Commander! It's my fav.

To help: In a 40-card standard/modern/etc. deck we use 4-of-one-card to make sure we hit them. In Commander that's not possible due to the singleton rule BUT here's the formula to make sure you mimic a 4-of-one-card in a singleton format:

100 Cards total
1 Commander (sometime 2 with Partner mechanic)
36 lands (or higher, your choice)
63 Cards remain.
7 Cards is the magical number to mimic a 4-of-one-card in EDH
So, 7 x 9 = 63.
Make 9 piles of cards. 7 cards in each pile. Each pile does something: Ramp, Removal, Card Draw, Theme 1, etc.

I use this for every deck and it makes sure I have a consistent hand of options. Obviously there's decks and commanders who don't want to follow this formula and building around them is half the fun of a format like this but... Enjoy!

Hey Lycanion69 I took a quick browse and like what I see. Here's what I'd recommend. It's something I do for every single one of my decks: 100 cards.
1 Commander.
36 Lands.
63 Remaining.
7 x 9 = 63.
7 is the number of cards you'd need to add to a deck to represent a 4-of in a regular 60-card deck (non-singleton).
So, find 7 cards that do "a thing" like Ramp, Draw, Removal, Aggro, Combo, Finisher, etc. and start making piles. 9 piles of things you want your deck to do. 7 cards that do those things in each pile. This helps smooth out your deck and makes sure you have the best chance to have what you need in your hand when you draw.

Otherwise, your curve could smooth out a bit on the 2-drops but your removal is great. Good luck!

arkstudios feel free to drop any ideas you have but... Meren is Meren, ya know? Are you doing anything crazy-out-of-the-ordinary with her?
