This is a deck I have been experimenting with. I started out by trying to make it budget, but having lands made it impossible as you will see. So, instead I decided to change it to Vintage. This way the deck would work. Here's how it goes.

Step 1: Mulligan for a hand with Vedalken Archmage and a good amount of mana.

Step 2: Play Vedalken Archmage. Optional: Play a card that reduces the cost of artifacts such as Semblance Anvil or etherium sculpter. I have won without playing either of these, and just with an Archmage, but it requires a bit of luck.

Step 3: Play a ton of artifacts. Because you are drawing a card each time you play an artifact, it should be fairly easy.

Step 4: Find Grapeshot, generate the needed storm count and cast. If you run out of artifact spells to play, remember to sacrifice Chromatic Star and Chromatic Sphere. These cards are essential to keep the engine going. If the Grapeshot gets Forced, don't worry, you have an alternative win condition. Keep playing artifacts until you find a Grinding Station and two Myr Retrievers. This infinite combo also wins, and you are running two Grinding stations for maximum effect.

I would love some help with the sideboard. One thing that I worry about is that once your opponent figures out what you are doing, they will try and kill the Archmage. This means that you need some alternative win con, but I can't think of one that only requires a few cards. I'm sideboarding standard graveyard hate, and artifact protection. Broodstar is for if your opponent manages to give themselves hexproof or shroud and you just need to beat down.
