Broodstar Discussion

Because you have a decent amount of artifacts in this deck, add cards with Affinity for Artifacts (e.g. Broodstar, Mycosynth Golem, and Thoughtcast). Also, try the Time Sieve and Thopter Assembly combo for infinite turns at an upkeep cost of . Kozilek, Butcher of Truth, Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre, Spawnsire of Ulamog and Eye of Ugin are some good ones.

Just got to say that I'm having a blast with this build - I could only take one deck in with me to the LGS and chose this one from my 12 EDH decks...thanks again for posting the list :D

I was actually going to mention the land count...I'm running 37 and am yet to mull ;)

A friend gave me a nice card for the deck today - Broodstar. It hits the table easily with it's built in Affinity and can be a fat 15/15 Flyer...nice big late-game finisher that you can attach Swiftfoot Boots to and swing in for the win!

I am in the process of reforging my Breya deck (I stopped playing it because I dislike playing infinite combos) and this deck is exactly the inspiriation I needed! Thanks! I have to figure out some other win conditions because the game modes we play forbid winning through "you win the game" cards. I consider Marionette Master and Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer + Darksteel Juggernaut or Broodstar to close out games out of nowhere.

Looking forward to see your deck evolve!

I don't love Broodstar, Etherium-Horn Sorcerer.

Trash for Treasure has never been good for me. Star of Extinction costs too much imo.

Everflowing Chalice is strictly better than Ur-Golem's Eye. Counterspell is strictly better than Stoic Rebuttal.

I feel like Saheeli's best ability is her second by a pretty wide margin, so I think adding higher cmc stuff to cast off that could be good.

Thoughtcast + Broodstar + Myr Superion + Sword of the Meek + Time Sieve + Ashnod's Altar + Thopter Foundry + Possibly Skullclamp + stuff like Chromatic Star + Prophetic Prism will help draw and help get over the land barrier + any tezzeret planeswalker pretty much. Maybe Dack Fayden + Chandra, Torch of Defiance.

You should put in Mechanized Production and Render Silent, you could use some card draw like Paradoxical Outcome and Thoughtcast, really you'd dig anything with "Affinity for artifacts" like Qumulox, Assert Authority, and Broodstar I'd cut Platinum Angel because it's like $5 and you're usually budgeted

TBF you aren't wrong about Broodstar being an "win-more" inclusion, especially considering that Sai is making hundreds of thousands of thopters in the first place. With all of the potential draw power from Riddlesmith, I was considering putting in Laboratory Maniac as an addition wincon. I'd probably remove Broodstar for him.

This deck is hilarious, i love it!

You may like Paradox Engine. Its pricy dollar-wise and mana-wise, but you just need a body to attach the Banishing Knack to. also creates infinite mana if you have any rocks on the board. You might like Tolaria West as a tutor for a 0 cost card.

While I like Broodstar, it feels like a "win more" card to me.

Seriously though, this is an amazing deck. Great job
