This wonderfully delightful deck combines elements of aggro, tempo, and midrange in one complete, harmonious package, while utilizing some very underrated cards that hardly ever see play in Pauper. This deck is one of my most proudest builds! This is a metalcraft deck, so artifact lands and Prophetic Prism is no surprise here. Other than that, I'm going to break down the deck into 5 parts:

1) Aggro: (4) Court Homunculus , (4) Glint Hawk start off the early pressure. (4) Thraben Inspector also adds metalcraft fuel by adding a clue tokens and can be sacked later for card advantage.

2) Tempo: This deck seeks to slow down your opponent long enough to get your own threats on the table.(4) Vedalken Certarch is a one-drop Icy Manipulator. It may because an instant target, which is fine considering it only cost 1 cmc. If it stays though, it's a control engine that stops nearly everything! (4) Alchemist's Vial does three things: card advantage, fuel metalcraft, and instant speed tempo! Finally (2) Aether Spellbomb for the same reason as the Vial.

3) Beaters: When metalcraft is online, why not have a 5/6 that can potentially come into play as early as turn 3! (4) Gearseeker Serpent is of course the centerfold of this deck and typically wins most games. Then I added (1) Rusted Relic , which seems like a less impressive card until you consider other options. When you think about it, a 5/5 for 4 cmc of any color is actually quite good in Pauper! Every time I have drawn this card in every game, it's gas!

4) Removal: (4) Journey to Nowhere is almost an auto-include in any white deck, and (2) Counterspell.

5) Draw: (4) Thoughtcast is the predominant draw spell. Other than that, looking at the entire deck, there is a total of 18 cards that draw cards, that's 1/3rd of this deck replaces itself! Another reason why this deck works SO well IMO.

Mana: Includes the usual artifact land, and dual lands. It also includes (2) Shimmering Grotto, which was added more of a trial to see if it can work. I like that it can be tapped for mana as soon as it hits the board, but then acts as two more Prophetic Prisms. Grotto may or may not be necessary, but so far, it seems okay.

Sideboard: Still working on improving this. For heavy agro decks, I've included (3) CoP's, but I'm not sure which one will need more of. (2) More Counterspell, (2) Dispel, and Negate for up against more spell-based decks. (4) Somber Hoverguard can replace the Certarch in either creature light decks, or when the need to go more aggro is necessary. Relic of Progenitus, Revoke Existence , and Angelic Purge are included when needed.

Thank you for reading! I am open to suggestions, always looking for ways to improve!
