**_Mission Statement: Control the board early game, set the opponent's tempo back, set up a team with Riddleform and Mirage Mirror/Tempest Djinn. Turn 4 Zahid, and knock the opponent down in 3-4 turns.

Plan B: Mirage Mirror to copy Tempest Djinn. Countering enemy spells will activate Riddleform. Swing in until dead._**

I made this deck dwelling on the insanely high ceiling of Tempest Djinn, and wondered: "why is no one playing this?" While the answer might be obvious to most people, insofar as it just doesn't have a place in the meta at the moment, I am not most people. I am... the Meta-Killer...

In all seriousness I have an intense burning hatred for the copy-pasta quality of the metagame, and Teferi. Without further ado, here's a look at the deck and why I've chosen the cards that I have.

So the idea is to play it midrange: for maximum flexibility, I decided that whether to deal with control or turbo aggro rush, it would be best to make tempo plays. Simply adjust for the deck you're playing against.

Finishers are Tempest Djinn and Zahid; Zahid I chose more as a late game response to a Lyra or Glorybringer, and to back up your one or more Tempest Djinns. The deck isn't perfect in this regard as I haven't been able to find a way to stick enough tempo responses to protect Tempest Djinn, but as is he doesn't die to shocks, lightnings or abrades. A Contempt will take him down, but that's what the counterspells are for.

Riddleform is a great card, especially against control match ups. Teferi decks have a bad habit of running bounce spells, which are very worth countering, especially when done on your turn, since you can counter, activate Riddleform's ability, and have him swing for 3 damage. Likewise, in removal instances, you can have him do the same for a well set-up play.

Card draw is important to get to your threats and your counters; as such, I've placed 2 divinations and a full play set of Opt.

The ARTIFACTS are here as a dual purpose; Mirage Mirror can make a second or even third copy of Tempest Djinn. Sorcerous Spyglass is another Teferi hate card because I sincerely hate that card. Both can tap to activate Zahid's reduced cost effect, bringing a 5/6 on the board on turn 4, swinging for 5 on turn 5. It's also a bonus that he's hard to kill without a Contempt.

This deck can absolutely undergo some improvement, and I'd love to hear feedback. Tell me what you think down below!
