Sideboard

Like Kolaghan herself, the deck is made to swoop in with dragons and lightning fast and wipe your opponent out before any answers.

The Deck revolves around Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury and Dragonlord Kologhan and ideally wants them both out, together they instantly become a "Dragonado" (working on that) and become a constant and instant threat to the opponent, hurtling at least 14 damage every turn. The deck, with it also has several other threats that can deal with different situations which are

There's also the two leaders themselves

  • Dragonlord Kolaghan Gives everything Haste, which is horrifically useful with our slower threats like Balefire Dragon and Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury. It's second ability also is useful against decks that relies on one or two creatures like Jund or Infect.

  • Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury Charges through with Dash and gives everything at the very least +2/+0 given that you're playing a dragon deck, and once it stays, your opponent is suddenly set on basically on a 1 turn clock.

Oh and there's also the spells, or the weather that makes the Dragonado possible.

  • Fatal Push: Destroys most early mana accelerators like Birds of Paradise and various Myrs and lots of big threats like Tarmogoyf, Arcbound Ravager, Siege Rhino and etc., and it's usually cast with the revolt trigger on with your opponent wanting to remove your dragons as fast as possible.

  • Lightning Bolt: Because we're running red.

  • Collective Defiance Some extra versatility that can be useful in more then just one way. Rather it's for picking off a creature, drawing out of a dead hand or getting the last chunk of damage in.

  • Crux of Fate For Nuking your opponents board and we get to keep our dragon usually if we get overwhelmed or they have a some hexproofers, and side note in that it helps with our Hangarback Walker too as we want it to die (usually). Also the art is boss

  • Dragon Tempest A mini Dragonlord Kologhan basically, which is almost always a plus with the only downside being that it can end being a dead card in our hand if you already have everything set up.

  • Duress Gives us a glance at what our opponent is doing so we can plan ahead of what our next move will be, while also snatching something useful like early removal or digging utensils.

  • Fearsome Awakening: For keeping the pressure on and getting back either of our leaders as well as pumping it up.

Draconic Roar Decent creature at the very least and can deal 3 more damage to the opponent as well, what's not to like?

Dragon Tempest: Just in case if we need the extra speed.

Fearsome Awakening: Against decks like Jund or Grixis Control where they think they got rid of ypur big dragon but nope.

Vandalblast: Artifacts... Artifacts Everywhere...

Fatal Push Extra removal for decks like Affinity which have multiple threats

Pyroclasm Against aggro or token strategies

Slaughter Games Stops their biggest threat all together that we just can't deal with such as Ghostly Prison, ulamog, the ceasless hunger or Scapeshift

I am very excited with this deck and I hope to maybe go with it to modern tournament sometime (which my LGS only does on the day I am the most busy on) and I'm very interested to hear your thoughts.

Updates Add

I decided to take out the 2 Mirrorwing Dragon and Foul-Tounge Invocation out of my sideboard as they didn't have much of anything to do whenevr they were in my hand and went full on with the Pyroclasm as aggro is isn't the decks best suit.

Another quick thing, I added 2 more land as I keep having these situations where if I only had 1 more mana I could've won the game moments and so I sideboarded a Fearsome Awakening and Fatal Push for them.
