+1 from me. Great deck.

Academy Rector Seems really good here

Sterling Grove(I know, green :/ ) and Privileged Position seems good as well.

Replenish should be sideboard at least. Maybe 1 or 2 of main in case you get Aured or have to crack your own.

Celestial Dawn probably unnecessary.

LuxCannonator- Thank you for the suggestions. I have added Replenish to the sideboard and may consider adding Academy Rector in the future.

I don't really want to add another color to this deck, but if I did, I would try and create some play between Enchanted Evening and Calming Verse. You'd create a one sided permanent wipe for all of your opponents.

I have decided to remove Teferi, Hero of Dominaria and test out a possible endless turn loop with Second Chance+Sun Titan. When you are at 5 or less life, you can keep sacrificing Second Chance for extra turns and attacking with Sun Titan to bring it right back again.

budlaorf Glad to see you added Replenish. I really think Academy Rector needs a spot especially if your going for the Combo Wombo. I also still think maybe a 1 off of Privileged Position(since you're mainly white).

I also forgot about Opalescence. Seems like it would be really good here just to finish them off. And if you get hit with a Back to Nature or the likes, you just replenish and call it a day lol

LuxCannonator- I like Opalescence in theory, the only problem is that Opalescence+Enchanted Evening wipes all lands from the board (as they all become 0/0 enchantment creatures). Opalescence also renders Karmic Justice useless because all enchantments become creature permanents.

I could replace Karmic Justice with Privileged Position but I really like having more enchantments in this deck that can be brought back with Sun Titan (3 mana cost or less). Thank you for all the wonderful suggestions.

budlaorf Not gonna lie, I totally forgot(read; Derped) about the Opal Evening combo. So yeah, no Opal is perfect.

Yeah, you're right, Karmic Justice definitely fits better with Sun Titan.

One more card to give some thought to with Sun Titan is Solitary Confinement. Rez or play it on your turn, let it die on your upkeep, bring it back with Titan. Rinse and Repeat. Gives you shroud and a damage shield, but only on your opponents turn. It's definitely a little on the janky side, but could be good.

LuxCannonator- I haven't thought about using Solitary Confinement and it might just be a better fit than Second Chance. Thanks for the great suggestion, I'll have to test it out next.

What about Greater Auramancy to go with Enchanted Evening? It would be a better choice than Privileged Position mostly due to its much lower mana cost, however you would need two for them to protect themselves.

Thank you for the suggestion. I think I may have to change out my 2 Karmic Justice for 2 Greater Auramancy. I have so many 3 drop cards that it might help make the deck a tiny bit less clunky with another 2 drop card.

Haha, fun idea. Perhaps throw in Winter Orb instead of Energy Flux. Let them untap only one land at a time to cast their spells or do anything. You can keep Energy Flux, provided that you have some way to generate mana that can get around the cost to sacrifice Winter Orb (such as Serra's Sanctum) since it is an artifact.

This just popped up while I was editing the description for my EDH deck.

It seems we have something in common.

amt1204- if there was an enchantment that could do what Winter Orb does, I might try and add it. This deck just has too much synergy with enchantments to add and artifact like that in. Thanks for the suggestion though.

A government without Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer? Strange.

Dovin Baan might just be fun with venser in this deck. Every time I use venser I always add his buddy baan lol

Joker207755- I used to have Dovin Baan in an earlier version of this deck. I may try and add him back in over Second Chance. Thanks for the suggestion!

I’m sure people have reccomened this, but have you tried Nevermore?

October 10, 2018 6:32 p.m.

budlaorf says... #17

JKRice- I haven't tried Nevermore but I'm not sure it would do well with this deck. This is more for a multiplayer format, and Nevermore is too specific for that. Thank you for the suggestion though.

Nice deck!

Given this is a duel deck, I am trying to figure out why you would use Grasp of Fate over Oblivion Ring, which is slightly less mana-restrictive, or simply running Detention Sphere in the main. Am I missing an added value to Grasp of Fate?

Cheers,

Heliogabale- This deck was built with the intention of being a multiplayer deck. I have Detention Sphere in the sideboard to be swapped in with Grasp of Fate, should I need to play single player.

I might like the deck if it wasn't based on that right-wing bullshit video... This isn't a political platform you know

I didn't mean this deck to be a political platform. I thought the video was amusing and decided to build a deck theme around it. I had always wanted to make a government deck but the video inspired me to make it.
