I think it's time for home brews to make a comeback, so here's mine.
Usually it's turn 1 Elvish Mystic, turn 2 Sylvan Caryatid, turn 3 Prophet of Kruphix, then a whole lot of shenanigans. This deck is designed to crank out big dudes in no time, as well as support them with counter spells and Simic Charm.
I have Garruk, Caller of Beasts as a 3 of because of his ability to either fill your hand after dumping it on feild with Prophet of Kruphix, or drop an Arbor Colossus/Terra Stomper.
Thassa, God of the Sea is amazing, every now and again you can work up devotion but she helps us get past mana pockets or dig for something useful, not to mention she also makes a nice win-con when you can't get through their defenses.
At one point the deck revolved around Kruphix, God of Horizons, but I found I was too dependent on his mana ability, and that's what caused me to lose to many faster decks. Yea we can have 24 24/24 hydras with broodmaster out (which I've done several times), but by then your either winning or struggling to keep up with meta game aggro. I found by subbing Kruphix with Arbor Colossus, the deck picked up speed and was less susceptible to pesky flyers like Master of the Feast and Desecration Demon.
Boon Satyr at first was real awkward but after a couple of test runs he works amazing. The versatility is what keeps him here. You can flash a blocker, beef up an unblocked mana dork or beef up an already huge creature for those last points of damage. Being able to survive board wipes after the bestowed creature is gone is just another bonus.
Gruul and Jund monsters have always been personal favorites of mine, so i thought I'd make a standard worthy Simic version.
