I got to test this deck out in a local Modern night recently, and got a respectable 3rd place finish!
Round 1 was my only loss of the night against a Goryo's Vengeance/Kari Zev's Expertise cheat-out-emrakul-and-win deck. I was able to combo off game 2 after not finding a swan game 1. Game 3 was awesome since I had a swan out but no enchantment, he cheats in emrakul with goryo's and I have enough lands to sacrifice and I block emmy with my swans which allows him to draw 15 cards. He won shortly thereafter, but it was pretty epic at the time lol.
Round 2 I won against Living End in 2 short games. I comboed off on turn 5 game 1 after he resolved a LE for only 3 creatures the turn before. I got the epic turn 4 kill in game 2 when he was tapped out, which made my day.
Round 3 I won against a newer player playing UB zombies who had a bye in the previous round. I won on turn 4 one game and turn 5 in the other, so the deck can be a little more consistent than it seems on paper. My opponent had only been playing the game for a few months, and his deck didn't have a clear direction. After the match I was able to lay out his deck and help him choose a direction he wanted to go with it, and make some suggestions for some inexpensive upgrades he could include (mostly removal spells and some hand disruption for his SB).
This deck was surprisingly fun, and with some more disciplined mulligan decisions in some games I think I could take down a small local event. It was great in round 1 when my opponent had no clue what I was doing when I dropped a turn 1 Molten Vortex and said go. I think this deck is great if you're playing against fair creature decks, but against non-creature combo it can struggle. I think I'll try it again in the future for sure!
