Vraska - not unreasonably - gets Jace hard, and he isn't alone. Unfortunately, there aren't enough other gorgons around for a tribal EDH deck and most of them are many or just plain expensive mana-wise. Still, after applying a bit of poetic licence (gorgons like snakes, right?) I've come up a fun deck. With the sheer amount of removal options here if you can see it, you can probably kill it!

The deck did used to run a couple of copies of Viridian Longbow but honestly Pioneer is a far less hostile environment than Modern - even at the casual level - for a deck running multiple 5CMC cards and no ramp. I suppose Deathrite Shaman is actually legal here...

Spoilers for Return to (Return to) Ravniva are all out, with disappointingly few cards for this deck (bearing in mind that Vraska, a gorgon, is a central character to the plot and is now leader of the Golgari). I like the Undergrowth mechanic, even if Mausoleum Secrets is the only card that I think this particular deck can utilise effectively. Vraska, Golgari Queen fits in well as a four-drop that can turn excess land or snakes into card draw, something this deck has none of otherwise, while her Abrupt Decay ability will always be useful. Speaking of said card, I guess that can be phased out for what is probably one of the best Modern cards from the whole set: Assassin's Trophy. Super thematic but feels like overkill for a casual deck not exactly lacking removal. Most of the other non-creature spells either do things thing I don't need, like give my creatures Deathtouch, or aren't efficiently costed compared to existing cards. The Kraul are cool but won't replace my snakes any time soon while the only actual gorgon seems to be Pitiless Gorgon, a...2/2 with Deathtouch for 3? Le sigh...
