So after sitting out the last couple of months (mainly due to an overloaded work schedule) I've decided that it is time to jump back into standard.

I have little idea what the meta is going to be (but Sorin, Grim Nemesis seems busted so I'm betting on mid-range and control decks) so I thought I would through together a deck and get some ideas. I'm not much of a control player, but mid-range is right up my alley, however most of the amazing mana fixing that was in standard is gone, so three colors seems a little too inconsistent for my liking. That leaves me at BW due to the amount of removal and decent creatures they seem to have.

The sideboard will be dealt with later, as usually it is geared towards my local meta, which has obviously not settled yet.

Since I'm still new to most of the cards in standard at the moment, any ideas(especially on the creatures) are welcome.
