I'll go ahead and admit it; this deck is no fun to play against. Most aggro will fall short. Control does not want to see its sideboard. Midrange is typically just straight outgunned. Anything that runs creature removal draws useless cards. So without further delay, a take at a creatureless control deck.

Card Breakdown:

Elixir of Immortality- Seriously, this card is an integral part of this deck. Gaining life fast is a serious deterrent against aggro, making fast victories a hopeless endeavor. Getting my graveyard back with a higher density of gas vs. land is just gravy.

Desperate Ravings- I know there has been a lot of controversy about this card, but frankly, if you know how to play it, it will dig your opponents' graves. With Elixir and the other options for yard recursion, pitching a card you wanted becomes a laughably small inconvenience.

Steam Augury and Gifts Ungiven- Mind games at their best! Pulling up win-cons and recursion spells in the same dig can make it a win/win situation. Also, if you give your opponent a tough enough choice, you can have a minute to think about the meaning of life in silence.

Mystic Retrieval and Pull from the Deep- Just some more ways to get your options back, making raving desperately and steamy prophecies even more dependable and awesome.

Black Sun's Zenith, Damnation and Cyclonic Rift- I don't have any creatures, so I will rarely hesitate to drop one of these. The Zenith is just to assert that Fleecemang Pridecub is not that cool and the Rift is just for other miscellaneous threats to possibly be countered later.

Electrolyze and Dreadbore- Spot removal for those early beaters. Zapping two and drawing a card is my favorite battalion heartbreak. Also, the ability to target a planeswalker gives the Bore an edge over most other removal in my opinion.

Condescend, Dissolve and Dismal Failure- Not the most extensive counter suite, but it gets the job done. They are all cantrips. They are all frustrating to your opponents. Feel free to replace them as you see fit, but I find them to be solid.

Sorin's Vengeance- 20 point life swings are a thing. I chose this over Cruel Ultimatum for one reason; I don't have any creatures to get back. I don't like missing out on synergy and an ultimatum won't finish off an opponent as fast or bring me as far away from 0 life-points as the vampire lord's vendetta.

Now for the fun part!

Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker- This guy here. Wow. Such powerful. So threat. Ok enough of that. He hits the field and blows up pretty much anything. Whatever he can't blow up, he takes indefinitely. If he goes unanswered for even a couple turns, you'll run away with the game.

Jace, Memory Adept- Great utility here. Draw more cards or start the "game over clock". Tick-Tock mother truckers.

Sorin Markov- Built-in mini Lightning Helix, one of my favorite ultimates in the multiverse, and the ability to put an opponent into range for a one shot kill with Sorin's Vengeance make this guy a seriously super friend.

Sideboard:

Counterflux- Control Hate

Slaughter Games- Control Hate

Rakdos's Return- Control Hate

Thoughtseize- I just hate everybody
