I have been playing for a while but only ever casual kitchen table play. This is my first attempt at a competetive modern deck.

The main theme of this deck is to get rid of my apponents permanents as quickly as possible in many different ways, this includes Path to Exile, Angelic Purge, Big Game Hunter etc.

I have thrown Secure the Wastes in there to give me some extra permanents to sac if I need them for Angelic Purge.

Ob Nixilis, Unshackled prevents my apponent from searching for the basic lands from both Path to Exile and Ghost Quarter.

I have gone for Underworld Connections instead of Phyrexian Arena because with the 4 Aether Vials I can afford to drop a mana occationaly when I need an extra card, and concidering I only have 2 possible sources of lifelink, i don't want to fall into the trap and kill myself.

(When I play casualy with my mates I will play Necropotence instead of Underworld Connections because they dont have a clue about what is banned or not.)

Whip of Erebos to gain me the life back I would lose from Underworld Connections .

For the Sideboard I have included copies of Transgress the Mind and Sin Collector incase I come up against decks with a lot of spells vs creatures.

I would love to know what you guys think.

Lastly I dont know if this actualy counts as a control deck or not. If you guys could come up with a better name I would love any suggestions.
