Sideboard

An elf tribal deck, updated for Oath.

The deck relies on three key synergies to win

The first is obviously elves, Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen Dwynen's Elite and Shaman of the Pack hit hard, and work together well.

The second is allies, Tajuru Warcaller is a wincon for when games go long. Beastcaller Savant and Sylvan Advocate when drawn late still have value triggering rally.

The third is lands, Sylvan Advocate plays well with a Hissing Quagmire awakened with Ruinous Path. A 4/4 deathtouch is much more likely to punch through the huge eldrazi running around standard.

The deck performs reasonably well against other popular decks in standard. Here's a breakdown of the matchups.

B/R Eldrazi - Nissa, Voice of Zendikar locks this deck out, they have no way around her. Gilt-Leaf Winnower is also phenomenal here. This is generally a good matchup.

Esper Dragons - This match is a toss-up. If you can get things rolling, Dwynen's Elite and Shaman of the Pack can finish the game in the first few turns. If not, Hissing Quagmire is an all star in cleaning things up.

Abzan - We have the winnower to deal with rhino, and with Nissa + Dwynen our creatures are usually bigger than theirs. This is a classic underdog-style matchup that surprisingly ends up playing into our favor.

Bant Tempo/Eldrazi - Games have been inconclusive, this deck varies so much between pilots that I never really know what to expect. But it seems that generally this deck is pretty good against the elves.

W/G aggro - This is another bad matchup for us. I feel like this is an instant game 1 loss. Luckily there are so many answers in the sideboard that coming back in 2 is achievable.

U/B control - Without access to Immolating Glare Celestial Flare and Dragonlord Ojutai this almost always swings in our favor. Sideboard in Ultimate Price for Gurmag Angler and Jace, Vryn's Prodigy   and Infinite Obliteration for Jace or Silumgar, the Drifting Death. Tasigur, the Golden Fang and Dragonlord Silumgar are quickly disposed of by the winnower.

And there you have it! Let me know what you think, and if there's anything that could be done to make this deck more competitive while keeping the price under $100.
