Valorous Stance , and to a lesser extent Monastery Mentor, are the two cards that have the greatest potential to enhance the WU Heroic build in my opinion. Tested: Nope I was wrong there.

This list extends on the classic Heroic build that eschews the toolbox use of Heliod's Pilgrim for a higher threat density.

For my current testing a pair of Seeker of the Way s have been swapped to the SB with Brimaz, King of Oreskos with a pair of Monastery Mentors moving into the sideboard at the expense of the conditional Heliod's Pilgrim .

The rationale being that the Pilgrims Tutor was most valuable in slower match ups where the initial tempo loss was quickly replaced by the aggressive tutoring of gas. In contrast, Monastery Mentor creates its own sense of evasion by allowing the build to run wide. This being said, Mentor is particularly weak on the draw which is why Brimaz, King of Oreskos has the nod in the main.

I initially ran Brimaz, King of Oreskos in the SB for Jeskai Ascendacy match ups and started to board him in against Esper Control as well as burn / sligh match ups. Overall I'm seldom unhappy to draw the Cat King and I'm very comfortable jamming him without protection unlike Monastery Mentor which makes him the #1 pick if there is any chance of being on the draw.

A copy of Ajani's Presence and Stubborn Denial have been dropped to test a pair of Valorous Stance which one Aqueous Form has been dropped to afford an additional land for Brimaz's double white requirement.
