The decks power comes from its synergy. It's an 'artifact matters' deck, utilising a suite of new DOM cards that offer 1-way board clears Phyrexian Scriptures, turn 4 Zahid, Djinn of the Lamp and deck filtering with Weatherlight.

The deck can draw fairly aggressively with Scrapheap Scrounger's and Scrap Trawler's plus Heart of Kiran.

However, the aggro plan is not core and just a nice bonus if you can curve out and capatlise a slower opponent.You can achieve early board presence by using turn 2 Skyship Plunderer into turn 3 Walking Ballista and dropping Phyrexian Scriptures on turn 4, converting the Skyship Plunderer into an artifact and a 3/2 flyer with the ability to immediately tick Phyrexian Scriptures to a 2nd counter on player damage or ticking up itself or Walking Ballista.

Phyrexian Scriptures also plays nicely with Padeem, Consul of Innovation. converting padeem into an artifact and therefore hexproofing himself and your fleet of vehicles and artifact creatures.

Top end play is Zahid, Djinn of the Lamp and Skysovereign, Consul Flagship.

There's lots of interaction with the cards and it takes time to master. Here's a few things I've learnt after constructing the deck that really improve deck piloting:

• Scrap Trawler's ability will trigger on creatures that have been turned into artifacts. Therefore a Zahid, Djinn of the Lamp can bring back a Skysovereign, Consul Flagship from the 'yard to your hand.

• Padeem, Consul of Innovation and Search for Azcanta   allow you to see up to 3 cards, and draw 2 per turn. Its so broken.

• If you've not had a turn off to pump your Walking Ballista and an artifact is about to be destroyed with a Scrap Trawler on the field, it can sometimes be useful to sac the Walking Ballista by pinging opponent, putting it in the 'yard and Scrap Trawler it back to hand to cast it bigger next turn.

• Heart of Kiran is vigilant, so you can hit for 4 and 2nd main phase tap it and 4 mana to play Zahid, Djinn of the Lamp.

• Ipnu Rivulet and Phyrexian Scriptures work nicely on its last saga ability. Game dependant, you may want to mill opponent at previous end step or at point when Phyrexian Scriptures one-sided 'yard exile hits the stack.

• Skyship Plunderer can tick up energy counters, Walking Ballista counter's, Phyrexian Scriptures counters and +1/+1 counters put on creatures by Phyrexian Scriptures. before attacking with Skyship Plunderer check if you can cast something 1st main phase that gives Skyship Plunderer more options to tick up on player damage. this maximises its value in case of instant removal spells on what you have on board to tick up.
