Time to bust some FNMs!

Thanks for checking out the deck :)
(Please excuse my long response time, I was very with studies)

Smeltz45, i do have Snapcaster Mages and have actually played them in the deck for a long time. I phased them out as I'd rather have fliers. Not saying it was the right decision :P I want to try it out again with your idea of using it with Slaughter Pact, that seems good :)

With regards to Smother over Deprive: The use of Deprive is very deliberate. Smother IS a good card for this spot, but having a couple of 1 mana removal spells is very important, in my opinion. Ulcerate would be another option here but the deck can't afford the life cost, if you ask me.

The Condescend is there for the late game, but I think I'll try to restructure the counter magic. Perhaps throw out Mana Leak and use Remand, Deprive and Dispel. It's not quite working currently. Maybe have a look at the new draft now :)

When I made the deck I couldn't find space for Serum Visions and still haven't. I have come to respect the card more though, and I think now that I have to find space for at least 2.

continuum, you're right about the mana. This deck has a stable mana base and with only 2 colors I never find myself in mana trouble. Deprive is interesting and I will be trying it out :)

@Rathaelix

This deck has been a blast to play and I've taken 1st place at a bunch of local modern events with it. Thanks again for the awesome design and the many helpful suggestions. People are learning to fear the Fae, lol.

TheGodofNight, good to hear! :D

Guftders, thanks for the suggestion :) I'm not too keen on Vial in this deck since there is only 11 creatures and they are somewhat spread out on mana cost. The creatures in the deck all have flash, so Vial contributes less here. Though it would make them uncounterable which would be lovely :)

I really love playing faeries myself, and the Aether Vials are great for conserving mana so you can play all your creatures at instant speed for 'free'. Although following your point, I might drop one or two myself for actual answers, since drawing into them late game hurts.

On another note, from my own testing, I've found that maintaining hand size is terribly difficult, especially with Lili on the field. Because hand size is important so you have answers for stuff... :D

Any advice on that?

Good point and good question.

Maintaining hand size is very difficult, as you say. We don't have cards like Wall of Omens or Sphinx's Revelation like many other control decks. With a faerie deck like this we aran't really aiming for card advantage. Mostly we are doing one-for-ones while we wait for Bitterblossom to do the dirty work. Liliana works very well with this as she can give Bitterblossom free reign if no players have any cards in hand.
That said of course we would like card advantage where we can get it. We can't always get Bitterblossom and that's when we look for two-for-ones or card advantage with: Cryptic Command, Snapcaster Mage + removal/counter magic, Scion of Oona's denial of removal, or Spellstutter Sprite.
This is not an easy deck to play and I am by no means an expert. It can be an uphill battle in Modern with Abrupt Decay being a thing, but I have loved faeries since Lorwyn and it's an awesome deck so I'm gonna keep rocking it :)

I think you need more ways to make your faeries bigger than 1/1. You lose to Lingering Souls. This means get some more Scion of Oona. I play 15 removal spells and I can promise you that while yes, if you curve out T2 faerie T3 faerie your first one may die but that's perfectly fine.

Also Snapcaster Mage doesn't have enough targets to warrant a spot in this list. Either put in more Inquisition of Kozilek, Spell Pierce, Spell Snare, or take out the snaps for more Faeries.

Another thing is if you want to keep in any Discard at all I really suggest Watery Grave and Polluted Delta both being at 4. While this does bring the possibly of being foiled by Blood Moon at the same time if your T1 or T2 discard always hit they will have to top deck it.

Lastly to make Spellstutter Sprite more efficient consider Faerie Miscreant. It's another target for Championing, it's another thing to be buffed by Scion of Oona and it can almost always draw a card thanks to Bitterblossom. Lastly if you manage to champion one with Mistbind Clique and you have another on the field, then when Mistbind dies you'll draw a card.

@kengiczar Faerie Miscreant only draws if you control another Micreant. So the first one does nothing, and will most likely die before you get to play the second.

But I do agree with you that Scion should be played at a min of 2, because you will always want more scions, and they will most likely die before they make an impact, considering they can be bolted etc.

Unless you have two on the board of course.

Oh and run Batterskull!! The lifelink it offers to your faerie tokens is soooo good :D ESPECIALLY against aggro decks, as it allows you to block with your tokens and attack, gaining life the whole time :3

Just one though. It's high cmc literally is the only downside...
