I have a real loathing for all the "kitchen sink" cards that have been cropping up more and more lately - the type that give you a ton of fiddly little incremental advantages. Strixhaven was especially bad for this. Things like Magma Opus, Culmination of Studies, Multiple Choice, Pestilent Cauldron Flip, Scale the Heights... there's being versatile, then there's being overdesigned and obnoxious.
The same goes for creatures with a number of "might as well" abilities that are likely to never come up in actual gameplay. Questing Beast is perhaps the worst offender, but Moritte of the Frost, Vadrok, Apex of Thunder, Koma, Cosmos Serpent, Graveyard Trespasser Flip, Orvar, the All-Form, any double-sided creature... these things aren't even fun to read.

I’m not too familiar with this precon but I’ll try to give some advice.
There are a few cards that are a bit weak, like Expedition Diviner and Unsummon . I’m also not a big fan of Rousing Refrain , but that really depends on how long your games are lasting.
Cards you could add, Aminatou's Augury is sweet and super fun to copy. Culmination of Studies could be good here. Melek, Izzet Paragon is pretty good and can be your commander if you wanna switch it up. Solve the Equation is a good tutor that’s not too expensive.
There’s also some sub-par cards you could swap out for better versions. Gadwick, the Wizened would be better as Blue Sun's Zenith , Pull from Tomorrow , or Expansion / Explosion since they can be copied and trigger your commander.
Spectacle Mage would be better as Baral, Chief of Compliance since it can make any spell cheaper plus the other ability can come in handy.
Also I don’t think the two Storm cards are very good here since your trying to cast big spells and not multiple spells in a turn.
If you wanna make more tokens you could include Murmuring Mystic . And if you added that I would suggest one of my favorite cards, even though it’s not that good, Dragonshift .
Clone Legion is fun to copy as well.

I wouldn’t say I’m disappointed, it’s just most sets only have 3-5 cards that interest me as I have a particular play style that I more or less stick too. (Spellslinger)
You say Galazeth Prismari is just a worse Urza, Lord High Artificer but I actually like it more. It may not be as good but it lets me play U/R (my favorite color pair) instead of mono-blue if I played Urza.
I’m also excited for Solve the Equation and Culmination of Studies .
But overall I’m not high on the set, I’m not really into the whole Magic school thing as much as when I was a kid reading Harry Potter books.
I also agree about the Golgari life gain stuff. Not really digging that.
Overall I probably won’t get too excited unless we return to some of my favorite planes. (Kaladesh, Kamigawa, New Phyrexia)
But I see other people getting excited about it and that’s enough for me. Not every set is gonna be for me, as long as there are people enjoying it that’s okay.

Hey, thanks for the upvote. Culmination of Studies is a nice suggestion; not sure what to cut, but I'll give it a playtest.

I’m gonna build Galazeth Prismari as well.
The only suggestion I have is Culmination of Studies from Strixhaven.
