Golden Guardian   deck for Rivals of Ixalan Standard.

There is a lot of hidden potential in Golden Guardian  . Cultivator's Caravan can come out on turn three as a mana rock that can withstand the fight with Golden Guardian  . Bontu the Glorified and Kefnet the Mindful are also good choices for fights since they are indestructible.

The key to flipping into Gold-Forge Garrison is always leaving two open mana. If Golden Guardian   is targeted with a removal spell you can tap two to have it fight another creature, then flip afterward. This is also convenient in battle where you block an attacker with Golden Guardian  , then tap to crew Cultivator's Caravan and then pay 2 for them to fight. The creature will still be blocked, and you get your land flipped and ready to make golems.

Bontu's Last Reckoning help's clear the board and flip your Golden Guardian  , and Torment of Hailfire can clear the board or can be a finisher.
