Are there any good ways to get around an Infect + Asceticism + Fountain Watch combo?

I've been going up against an infect deck my friend uses and he just added asceticism and fountain witch to his deck which basically stopped all of my attempts to destroy his creatures. So i was wondering any strategies that can help.

That's not really a rules question, but anything that works without targeting will do the trick. Day of Judgment , Magmaquake , card:Black Sun's Zenith, Blasphemous Act , an Overloaded Mizzium Mortars or Cyclonic Rift , etc.

Any board wipe would still affect them. Shroud/hexproof only prevents targetting, not destruction.

Killing Wave or Mutilate could do the trick, as would Terminus .... there are a lot of options. (Though the regenerating from Asceticism does hurt.)

Ignoring "destroy", and "damage", as they can be regenerated, you still have anything which does not target, that returns to owners hand, returns to library (top or bottom), exiles, or reduced toughness to 0.... you could also include "damage/destroy", so long as it also has a "cannot be regenerated", clause.

If you have a deck to link, we may be able to assist better. Otherwise, a color that you hope to use may be useful.

card:Black Sun's Zenith kills 99% of all creatures, if you have a big enough X.

Wrath of God , Damnation , card:Black Sun's Zenith, Karn Liberated , Terminus , and Worldfire as he can't regenerate them with those.

Karn Liberated isn't that great of an option, as her targets.

Back to Nature to kill Asceticism.

you could just use non-targetting removal... what colours are you running? in black you've got stuff like card:Geth's Verdict and card:Chainer's Edict

in blue you could neutralise some of the pumped attack power with Hysterical Blindness and an overloaded Downsize

in red you got mini-board wipes like Pyroclasm and Volcanic Fallout , applicable before they drop Asceticism

in green there's Melira, Sylvok Outcast

and in white there's Wrath of God -effects

or you could disrupt them with stuff like Intervention Pact , Duress , Memoricide , almost any form of Counterspell , Insurrection (yes expensive but it doesn't target) and Fog -effects. they'll be wasting their pump spells on a fruitless attack not sure if Circle of Protection: Green or whatever colour they're using might help as well... but it dodges using the word "Target"

Personally if you're building to negate a pump-infect deck I'd go with a turbofog deck.

either bash face faster than they can handle with a hyper-aggressive deck, or out grind them by forcing them to use up their resources with a potent and efficient control deck. don't run a casual, fun deck against infect

and even with the regeneration you could force them to tap their creatures by casting Electrickery during their upkeep. regenerated creatures get tapped, they use their mana to keep their guys alive instead of pumping them and you can stall for another turn while your creatures attack unhindered

Well, you could run Paraselene and just deal with the enchantments outright, you could board clear all of the creatures with cards of every color except green of course, (Wrath of God , Damnation , Bonfire of the Damned /Earthquake , Cyclonic Rift /Devastation Tide , and so on.) You could play more creatures than him using tokens, slivers, elves, various unlimited combos, and such before turn 5 when he starts playing those scary enchantments.

You could also just be a complete dick and run the Venser, the Sojourner interaction with Stonehorn Dignitary in an azorious control deck that also uses board clears and Blinding Angel . You could do what I did to him to make him create that deck and use a mono green eldrazi mana ramp deck that gets out eldrazi on turns 3-5 and just crush him before his infect gets out of hand. You can play Mother of Runes like my friend does in that same azorious deck so when ever his scary infect creatures attack, you can just block them with any of your creatures then give them protection from the color of those infect creatures and have them do no damage.

You could build a hate deck that uses Nevermore , Slaughter Games and similar cards and just make it so that he can't play the best parts of his deck. There are just a crazy amount of things you "could" do. It really just depends on what you want to do. Be a dick and build a hate deck, you could sideboard in various removal spells of the different colors, you could add interactions and combos that shut his deck down. Like I said, it depends on what you want to do.

Oh and you could also play a turbo fog deck to make sure that no combat damage goes through.

Wrath of God , card:Black Sun's Zenith, and Damnation are probably your biggest answers since your opponent can't regenerate through those. Blasphemous Act and Day of Judgment would work, if your opponent doesn't have the mana to regenerate.
