A good friend of mine is building this deck, a GAAIV prison/control deck. The other decks in my meta is Shattergang Brothers (goblin tribal), Mayael the Anima, 5C Slivers and my [75%] Blink blink, nudge nudge (Roon of the Hidden Realm. I think it will be fun with a very different deck, and a fun challenge for our playgroup.
However, I wonder if we should pack some more answers maindeck to avoid that our games becomes too unfun?
Some of my answers so far:
6 counterspells
Aura Shards + some token generators
Acidic Slime
Reclamation Sage
Lavinia of the Tenth
Some upgrades I'm considering for me or recommending to my friends:
Calming Verse
Paraselene
Consign to Dust
Bane of Progress
Nature's Claim
Krosan Grip
Beast Within
Carpet of Flowers
Countermagic like Red Elemental Blast.
Harmonic Sliver is like Reclamation Sage.
Nevermaker is another good choice. It targets all nonland permanents.

You should play a stax deck yourself... Nath discard / mana denial should drive the uw player insane :D. Had a very fun match with the black braids against an arbiter deck (although it was 1vs1)

Void Winnower vs. Grand Arbiter Augustin IV would be funny.
Also would stops Sphere of Resistance, Winter Orb, Omniscience, Supreme Verdict, Wrath of God, Terminus, Austere Command, Jace, the Mind Sculptor, and basically like 90% of the deck.
And really my personal favorite is Wave of Vitriol. Especially when your better equipped to live through it.

I generally like City of Solitude against decks that run counterspells and spot removal, but it highly depends on your own build. Cards like Back to Nature can remove their entire Prison Suite, and the already mentioned Bane of Progress is neat for Roon.

For a Roon deck, Bane of Progress is the best choice. Beast Within is a good one-shot option.
