Having revisited the idea with Jarad and the Commander 21 damage rule, I see that because his ability states "each opponent loses life" vice, "Jarad deals X damage equal to..." his ability does not count as damage. Furthermore, I've checked in to the rules on Commander damage and turns out only combat damage dealt by the Commander counts towards the 21 points of commander damage. Oh well. You can still do ridiculous things with the combo of Corpsejack and Death's Presence if you have any sac capability; including Jarad's.

I would love for someone to just pick this deck apart :/

Varolz, the Scar-Striped will let you scavenge any dead creature. Splinterfright powers up Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord and Varolz, the Scar-Striped. Shambling Shell would be great in this deck. Boneyard Wurm gets big if you are trying to dump creatures into the yard, but is a non-bo with scavenge. In general, I'd just play more creatures, especially undercosted ones. Phyrexian Dreadnought has an enormous drawback, but you can sacrifice him to his own ability and then deal 12 to each opponent for 3 with Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. Phyrexian Soulgorger and Death's Shadow would function in the same way. They also happen to be great if you get to use them with Varolz, the Scar-Striped. Grisly Salvage is good. Nemesis of Mortals is good with a lot of guys in the 'yard too.

I doubt that Life from the Loam, Clinging Mists and Hindervines are really what you want to be doing. I'd cut them first.

Thanks for the input... yeah, I don't find too many lands going to the gy and any that do wind up there can eventually be pulled back w/Deadbridge Chant so I could definitely see swapping that out for Shambling Shell.... as far as Phyrexian Dreadnought, can you activate Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord on it before it goes to the graveyard (if you don't sac)? Also, the idea here is get large enough creatures to sac w/Jarad to drop everyone down as fast as possible; if I can manage it, have Death's Presence and Corpsejack Menace on the field... putting out that Phyrexian Dreadnought in that circumstance could wind up w/a 24/24 for 1 mana (ridiculous !)... Definitely worth considering... Not looking to really keep a bunch of creatures in the yard to buff Jarad's P/T... and I've thought about putting in Varolz, the Scar-Striped when this was a more standard format deck, but I didn't like that some of my scavenge creatures actually had lower scavenge costs than casting costs; does Varolz ability overwrite existing scavenge costs? Including Death's Shadow, Phyrexian Soulgorger and Phyrexian Dreadnought with Varolz, the Scar-Striped in the deck absolutely makes sense for what I'm trying to accomplish. Thanks for the input ! :)

You can sac' Phyrexian Dreadnought to Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord with his own sac' trigger on the stack, yes. Then, when the ability from Phyrexian Dreadnought resolves, you'll choose to "bury" him, which will fizzle because he is already in the graveyard. You'll end up netting 12 damage for 4 mana, and whatever tangential effects you can manage (such as Death's Presence).

If you'd like more interactions with Varolz, the Scar-Striped, you could take some ideas from my Tiny Leaders deck built around him: Exploding (L)olz

I was checking in to prices on some of those suggestions you offered (Phyrexian Dreadnought is not a cheap card =X) I'm operating on something of a limited budget so I swapped out some of those aforementioned cards for some things I had on hand. I didn't like Vault Skirge in there as it just wasn't sufficiently useful even with the flying, so I subbed him out for Nefarox, Overlord of Grixis. In addition, instead of Clinging Mists, Life from the Loam and Hindervines, I put in Pithing Needle, Silent Arbiter and Shared Trauma. I feel like Pithing Needle will add some more artifact silence and Silent Arbiter will provide some tempo control against creature heavy swinging decks which will allow some time to build up counters/move things around as needed. I'm still looking to pick up a Varolz, the Scar-Striped just to expand the utility of the non-scavenge creatures already in the deck. Would love the community's input on these choices

I would note that Old Fogey isn't actually EDH legal.

Its not, but Unhinged and Unglued cards are considered illegal in all formats..... Tappedout has it listed as illegal. Some people will play with them, but I would clear that with your play group before you do. If you choose to replace it something like Lord of Extinction might prove useful.

I'm thinking about taking Savra, Queen of the Golgari out... but I may not (Mycoloth + Doomgape + Savra, Queen of the Golgari... double life gain?)
