At it's core this is a ramp deck. Potential early strong plays against the combo, combined with a strong mid-game plan for grinders. Enough synergy and value to match up against control.

Birds of Paradise Noble Hierarch in tandem with Lotus Cobra allow you to ramp early. Mana ramp, and color fixing, extra bodies, basic enablers.

Key pieces allow you to sift through your deck.

Courser of Kruphix in tandem with Domri Rade provide a makeshift draw engine that is very effective. The lifegain and removal abilities are essential. Path to Exile is good for removal and occasionally for fetching another land.

5-drop for Cobra

Resistant to Path, and a mana sink? Providing an aggressive play for the turn 3 Fetchland/Lotus Cobra 5 mana play Stormbreath Dragon is a really good threat.

The beaters.

Dungrove Elder provides the removal resistant finisher, Primeval Titan is a threat unto itself, but even if it's removed quickly after resolving still enhances our chances of winning by thinning our deck by fetching fetchlands, retrieving Kessig Wolf Run and upping the forest count.

tokens and draw.

Garruk, Primal Hunter enable us to fill our hand, and fill our board.

The mana sinks...

Bonfire of the Damned provide the sweep. Courser helps see a potential miracle, and we can produce so much mana late game, Bonfire is never a dead card. Kessig Wolf Run can turn any of our creatures into finishers.

The unsung heroes.

Dryad Arbor is a forest and a creature and is relevant. Batterskull will provide value as well as another threat.

Happy to report the deck working well. In a pool of 12 players.

1st matchup against a B/U Merfolk deck.
Opportune removal won the first game, second game made poor aggressive play that opened me up to a lethal attack. Third game drew into a perfect curve with turn 3 Thragtusk then turn 4 Primeval Titan with a Bonfire of the Damned in hand to clear the board for turn 5.

2nd and 3rd games against Jund As always grindy games, third match a highlight was triggering Garruk, Primal Hunter Ultimate for 3 Wurm tokens for the win.

Very happy to do well with this deck, apparently the Jund matchup is pretty strong, which is good.
