Background
First time doing this, so please, bear with my ignorance. My father and I started playing in 1994-1995. However, I have had nothing to do with MTG since and have all but forgot about it until recently. Hindsight, I wish I had never quit, so much has changed. I now find myself overwhelmed and learning a new language with all the acronyms, shorthand, etc. I will also inform you, English was never my strong point; however, I do pretty well with Math.
My Understanding
I understand counting the six color’s costs, mana curve, developing ratios, etc. and how to create and apply said rates, but only for basic lands. I found little information with a detailed, comprehensive explanation regarding this particular topic, however, except for those which, to me, might as well be in Mandarin.
Where I Am lost
When adding double-sided cards such as:
Branchloft/Boulderloft Pathway
Lavaglide/Riverglide Pathway
Timbercrown/Cragcrown Pathway
Temple of Mystery
Sea Gate Restoration / Sea Gate, Reborn
How do I add these double-sided cards to the deck while also being mindful of mana ratios and, quite specifically, not to add too much of any color?
