Let's play with some fun cards like Demonic Pact and Crush of Tentacles!

Demonic Pact is easily my favorite Origins Card. I ran a version of this deck a few times before Oath of the Gatewatch released. The deck did well, not tier-one but it could hold it's own. I'm hoping that the addition of Grasp of Darkness, and especially Crush of Tentacles will make this list more fun, if not more competitive.

Crush of Tentacles interacts very well with Demonic Pact. One-drops like Duress, and delvers Treasure Cruise and Murderous Cut let you pay the Surge price pretty easily. Most of the rest of the cards on the list are multipurpose--as both removal and a way to get your Demonic Pact off the board.

Updates Show

OK so after more playing around with this deck, I've discovered a few things:

1. Since OGW has dropped, there are tons of colorless creatures running around making Ultimate Price a bit of a turd. This also makes Sultai Charm much worse as removal. However, the charm still does work getting Demonic Pact off of the board and looting. It also makes flipping Jace, Vryn's Prodigy   on turn 3 a regular occurrence.
2. As much as I want to like Silumgar's Command, more often than not I've found myself just wishing it was another copy of Crush of Tentacles. It's really bad when you want to bounce Demonic Pact, but there is nothing enabling any of the other modes of the command.
3. Looping Den Protector and Crush of Tentacles is awesome and hilarious.
