Sideboard

Creature (4)

One card combo deck. Play Shared Fate and give your opponent a deck that has no win condition.

You cannot run any bounce, like Boomerang, otherwise your opponent may be able to retrieve any cards on your field from their deck back to their hand. Furthermore, hand control like Thoughtseize is completely useless against you after you drop the Shared Fate.

Running counter control that does not guarantee a spell is countered is a must, hence Hinder and Mana Leak. However, you cannot run Remand for the same reason you cannot run bounce.

Day's Undoing is very handy to wipe your opponents hand post Shared Fate as well as retrieving new things if you absolutely have to. You can survive without it, but it's very handy to have.

Just in case I encounter a deck that has a win condition that absolutely will not work with Shared Fate in play and they run no secondary win conditions, even as small as a 1/1 creature, I put Bronze Bombshell into the sideboard. I am looking for more/better options, but as of yet I have found none.

Strictly speaking, The Ad Nauseam combo would still work. The Ad Nauseam would still work as normal and I would get cards from my deck. The only problem is that you can't discard the cards removed with Shared Fate .

That being said, since it's a control deck and typically the field is clear when I drop my Shared Fate , I could just wait until I have the combo in hand and use Ad Nauseam to build up cards to discard. But Laboratory Maniac is typically run in those decks. So it's still possible to win against them without the combo.

But I see your point. I can definitely see some decks where the win condition simply would not work post Shared Fate and they don't run any alternative win condition like even a single creature. I added Bronze Bombshell to the sideboard to help with this. But most decks have at least one way to win, even if it is just a single 1/1 creature.

If someone could think of more win conditions that my opponent simply could not use, I'd likely drop them in as well, but I haven't found any. I'm also thinking about mainboarding Bronze Bombshell even if it is just to act as blocking fodder.

Hi I'm brewing around Shared Fate as well.

I've been looking at cards like Set Adrift to remove fate after the libraries have been emptied for a mill win, or things like Bribery & Mimeofacture that can't be used against me.

Terminus & Condemn are also good removal options so that your opponent's deck has plenty of creatures left in it to kill them with.

Idyllic Tutor can be used by the opponent to fetch something like Shrieking Affliction or Purphoros, God of the Forge . If you're running black Brainspoil is the better option.

Let me know what you discover! Happy brewing!
