Abbot definitely works better, amazing early, still good mid game. also combos with expedite which is amazing. Also Jace adds upside like no other card in the format. I have to say that this deck really feels like Jace's true calling.
Major Update (3.0)
Dami, 9 years ago
After last update (2.0) were I set that this deck would be a Modern deck I will now start to mold deck to best suit the path I chose take with it that in this case I a primary aggro deck with some burn and removal support.
-
2xBattering Sliver and 2xFury Sliver are now removed from the sideboard and deck since last update (2.0) I not even once again use these two creatures.
-
2xVirulent Sliver Is now removed from the deck because out of all slivers creatures in it Virulent Sliver was the one that for me had the least useful ability.
-
2xBelligerent Sliver is now removed from the deck since there is really no need to keep two different slivers creatures with the same ability and so I decided keep Two-Headed Sliver that as a cheaper cast cost.
-
2xCloud Key are now moved to the sideboard because with the heavy cast creatures now gone Cloud Key is now less useful than before but I still want keep it around for now.
-
Now to Improve this deck overall aggro power and speed I will add two extra copies of Predatory Sliver and Blur Sliver and to add some extra burn I will also add 2xThorncaster Sliver that also work as good creature removal tool in combo with Venom Sliver
-
To finish this update I will add 2xSignal the Clans to the sideboard as an library to hand tutor options for this deck creatures.

played a fun game tonight. Cast jeleva but the only spell I hit was Traumatize, so naturally I traumatized myself. The next turn I was able to play Living Lore exiling Spelltwine from my grave, then give it boots for haste to swing and cast a Temporal Trespass and Boundless Realms from and opponents grave. That turn ends with me tutoring Mizzix's Mastery to top deck with Vampiric Tutor. Extra turn: I overload mizzix's mastery, first spell being Rise of the Dark Realms which brought back charmbreaker devil. Then 12 other spells were cast including Worst Fears, Blatant Theivery and many more before finally casting Chandra's Ignition on a 60/4 charmbreaker, and then twincasting it for fun. Conclusions: living lore and chandra's ignition are solid, mizzix's mastery is broken.

Important tweaks

Decided to go with one less Congregation at Dawn mainboard, since it slows down anything else I'm doing unless I'm fully prepared to go all in with it. It also allows more access to collected chord, and the freedom to add another creature, Quillspike, into the mix. This guy is useful in so many ways, it's been ridiculously helpful in playtesting. Also decided to go with Siege Rhino as my 4 drop creature in the SB instead of redcap, because I'm never going to be fetching the redcap with Wish over the Finks.
deck = done

3-1 obviously this is terrible against the Ramp decks, that was my loss.

I got some fine advice from /r/AffinityForArtifacts and pulled a Wear/Tear and a Dismember for 2x Ghirapur Aether Grids - I really came to see the light on these guys.
