If you want to add some counterspells and board wipes, Solar Tide and Gix's Command let you wipe small creatures while your big ones survive. Don't go overboard on counterspells; you only really need enough to protect your combo pieces and stop other people's win cons. Privileged Position, Golgari Charm, and Heroic Intervention can pull a lot of weight here.

InvalidUsernamePleaseTryAgain The land base looks pretty solid overall, but I have two notes. First, as a personal preference, I like to use enough basic lands to be able to cast all essential spells; you never know when a Blood Moon or whatever is going to show up and ruin your day. So maybe 2 each basic Mountain, Forest, and Plains, and one each Island and Swamp. Second, even with the high average mana cost of the deck, 44 lands is a lot. You can probably cut 2-4 lands and still be safe on your mana. I do still recommend adding in some more 1-2 mana cards so you have some options during the first few turns.

But the important thing is that you build the deck you want to build, and this one looks like a lot of fun!

And seconding FormOverFunction, as long as Tetzimoc, Primal Death is in your hand and you have black mana, you can spread those prey counters around.

I saw your question about Inkmoth Nexus and Cathedral of War, and the short answer is that promos cards and bonus sheet cards don't usually change legality. So even though they're in EOE packs, they're not Standard-legal. They can be used in Limited formats, but that's pretty much it.

How much money are you willing/able to spend? A five color mana base can get expensive fast. Command Tower and Arcane Signet are pretty much everywhere, and they're reasonably affordable. City of Brass, Mana Confluence, and Reflecting Pool are some higher-end options, and fetch lands + triomes are good too. If you want some lower-budget options, look to cards like Rupture Spire, Vivid Crag, Survivors' Encampment, or Mirrodin's Core--keep in mind that what you save in money, you lose in speed and efficiency, so if you want the "best" land base, be ready to shell out several hundred dollars.

As far as bracketing, the guidelines are being modified right now. I would put this as lower Bracket 3, with two game changers. I don't see any fast combos that can win a match around turn 3, and it's not ridiculously oppressive and stax-y.

As another card suggestion, Fist of Suns gives your commander some redundancy, and Birds of Paradise, Bloom Tender, and the Hierarchs (Noble and Ignoble) would give you some more early-game options.

Azoth2099 How is this invalidating the color pie? Most (not quite all) effects are solidly in-color for both hybrid colors, and the handful that aren't are relatively minor breaks. Is there a specific hybrid card that breaks the color pie?

Maybe the 2brid stuff, but I think those should remain locked to color identity.
