If you’re going wide, I would humbly recommend my all-time favorite throne: Dragon Throne of Tarkir. Perfect theme/mechanics balance, gives any creature you want an activated ability, and has the potential to GREATLY improve the effectiveness of your swarm.

Funny you should ask! I playtested this deck a few times in matches online and concluded it was too explosive to build in paper. I planned the curve to consistently execute the line I described in the primer, and succeeded in that task. In doing so, I would be left with a tapped Gitrog on turn 4, a million cards in hand, and a million lands in play — quickly painting a massive target on my head. The deck could not convert the mana/card advantage into a win fast enough from that point, and would become the table’s pariah. Ultimately, I’ll probably never make this deck in paper as I don’t like playing the archenemy.

Hope your build works better! It seems like a really fun commander, especially if you go for a more incremental approach than mine.

I like it. It's easy to splash in modern and hard removal is nice. I can't play FNM anyways because I proxied my deck so I just play against my friend's Omnath Blink deck and Assassin's Trophy is very helpful in that match up. You can always build your own wizards list without green.

You would not. While Drowned Jungle  ^Flip is a double-faced card, the permanent in play is Drowned Jungle itself, and that's what you'd make a copy of.

With transforming DFCs it's a little different, as the copy will be a transforming double-faced token that might be able to be flipped over by an effect, but that doesn't happen with MDFCs.

See rule 712.8f: While a modal double-faced spell is on the stack or a modal double-faced permanent is on the battlefield, it has only the characteristics of the face that’s up.
