Need something I can pitch to force

Food chain combo, yall know it (in case you don't, Food Chain exiles either Squee, the Immortal , Misthollow Griffin or Eternal Scourge for cmc+1 mana, then repeat for inf funtimes)

Walking Ballista is so close to being perfect, but I want a payoff I can exile to Force of Will just in case. The new Hydroid Krasis is nice for finding the payoff but it doesn't have haste, so not really as good a wincon as the machine gun bastard (also the card draw can't be countered by normal means! ha HA!). Other than that, all I could find was a simic X/X flyer ( Nimbus Swimmer , also no haste) and a 2/2 with multikicker for extra counters ( Enclave Elite and yes, no haste).

Do ya'll know of any blue, X, creature spell that instawins the game the same way as ballista? Even something that mills x would be preferable,

If you play Blue Sun's Zenith , you can get the infinite mana, draw your deck, and then cast the ballista for the win.

Daarkest - that will not work. Food Chain specifies the mana must be spent on creature spells.

Also, even if that was possible, you've added an unnecessary step. Blue Sun's Zenith allows you to target any player--if you have infinite mana, you can mill your opponent, removing the need to cast and resolve a creature.

I did my own Gatherer search, as well as looked at a number of other Legacy Food Chain decks. There are no cards that mill X, and no hasty creatures that enter with infinite toughness.

Your best bet is probably sticking with Walking Ballista , then just running a large number of cantrips.

Imho, the best card to pitch is Jace, the Mind Sculptor . It’s all he’s good for (;

In all seriousness, idk much about Legacy, so I can’t help much, but I couldn’t resist the joke. Best of luck!

Sphinx of Foresight seems like an interesting choice...turn 1 scry 3 for free in your opening hand that can be pitched for Force, can be a viable 4/4 flyer if needed and can chain for 5 mana if needed, plus an extra scry each turn while in play.

Nix that lore weaver, thought food chain did abilities too.

I don't know how competitive this is, but turn 0 Chancellor of the Spires into Surgical Extraction , then pitch to Force of Will is entertaining. It doesn't quite have that insta-win-ness you're looking for, though.

Vela the Night-Clad and then just do your Food Chain loop to ping them down is all I can come up with.

There's always Palinchron + Riku of Two Reflections / Deadeye Navigator / Phantasmal Image or Deadeye Navigator + Peregrine Drake / Great Whale . Not a 1-card combo, though, and you need 2 mana open (or 4 without Deadeye Navigator ). This does, however, help you convert Food Chain mana into regular mana.

Gidgetimer has found the best one in my opinion. +1

Yea Gidgetimer's one is perfect, ngl. It also works through tax effects (eg a Lodestone Golem ) if I want to continue the inf loop.

Thnx all for your suggestions!
