Thanks to finding a small box of my original collection in storage several years ago (with cards dating back to Unlimited, all of which I thought I sold in 2000), I got sucked back into collecting and playing, and now have more EDH decks and modern/legacy cards than I know what to do with - my binder is just a small portion of my total collection at this point.

Other games will come and go, but reliving my high school and college days through Magic helps keep me young, and it's a hell of a lot easier on the body than baseball and basketball. If I can help you in any way, or if you are looking for trade pieces, feel free to reach out - I'm always up to something new these days.

Bolt_Snap_Bolt thanks for checking it out. I didn't consider the Intruder Alarm build concept due to my meta, as I play in a large group that runs both cEDH decks and powerful but janky combo decks, which we all try to revolve regularly to keep things fresh...and that card just sets up too many of my usual opponents decks, whereas Aluren always catches them off guard. That said, your build is pretty cool though - obviously not having to stick to 3-CMC or less for creatures gives you a lot more options to work with, especially with the lands-matter concept.

EmEcks feel free to steal the list to your heart's content...that's part of the fun with posting more niche and janky decklists, even when they can be overpowering in many scenarios. Hope you enjoy it, and don't forget to check out the maybe board for more ideas.

Always_Freezing, thanks for the upvote and checking out the deck, I guess great minds think alike. As far as Baleful Strix , I was on the fence with it when the build was based around Muldrotha, but now with Yarok, I think it does need to find a place in the 100 despite its non-bo with Cloudstone Curio . In playtesting, I've found that the ETB draw triggers are the best option for consistency, so all of those options should be included in my opinion. I'll probably drop Arctic Merfolk to add it back.

As far as your deck, the only automatic include I would suggest is Dimir House Guard , as dropping Aluren on the board is the highest winning percentage play in the deck, and it's one of the very best ways to ensure you can get it in your hand, as it's almost impossible for your opponents to stop. Also, if you're going to rely on mana via creatures and untap triggers, you may want to consider Shaman of Forgotten Ways to go with Bloom Tender , as it has potential to go infinite even without Aluren , whereas Sylvan Caryatid and Paradise Druid can't.

Other than that, I would just say playtest the deck a bunch and see what stands out - I've found that options I thought were must includes initially ended up being quite underwhelming. Good luck and happy brewing.

Thanks for the upvote Nerdytimesorwhatever, your timing was perfect in asking that question, as I got to play the deck for the first time in months the day before. I cut a couple cards - Crop Rotation and Land Tax , as they didn't have much impact when drawn, as I found myself wanting more auras or answers to threats instead. I also removed Daybreak Coronet for now, as it just feels like a win-more aura rather than a game-breaker. In those card slots, I added Mark of Fury , Kithkin Armor and Flickering Ward , which I'm not sure why I didn't have in the deck previously, as 1-cmc options that provide solid evasion or haste and two that can recur themselves to help cantrip my enchatresses were immediate upgrades.

As far as top performers go, Spirit Mantle , Spirit en-Dal and Seize the Day are always welcome sights, as they result in a very high win probability once Uril hits the board. As fun as the deck is though, it's very difficult to play in my meta with more than one opponent, as I play a lot of cEDH, and this deck will draw all the hate from others even as the combo decks prepare to end the game. 1v1 is where it shines most, and then it's a real handful.
