Tilonalli's Summoner

Main Game Plan

Theoretically, if you hit all your land drops and play Tilonalli's Summoner on turn 2/3 and Wildgrowth Walker on turn 2/3, then Path of Discovery or Anointed Procession on turn 4, you would be able to trigger ascend on turn 4/5. With Path to Discovery out, you are basically spending 4R (on turn 5) to get 4 2/2 Elemental tokens onto the field without much trouble. If you got Anointed Procession, then youd be spending 4R (on turn 5) for 8 1/1 Elemental tokens. Arguably, this is the better option as you're able to go wide, but most of your creatures would die easily without much trade. When our elemental tokens explore, we also gain health if we have Wildgrowth Walker out, allowing Azor's Gateway to become a huge mana generator if we manage to get it out.

Tendershoot Dryad also works as another win condition, although the major downside of it is how easy it is to kill it. Every upkeep, you gain a one or two saproling tokens, that you could use as chump blockers while you try to set up your main combo. Although, eventually, you'd be able to go super wide and swing with everything for the win, and even earlier if you have Path of Discovery out as well as Anointed Procession.

It's also easy to get Ghalta, Primal Hunger out, either due to large token generation or high powered tokens. Either way, you'll be able to play Ghalta by turn 6.

Removal

In terms of removal, we have Lightning Strike, Ixalan's Binding, Cast Out, and Fumigate. Lightning Strike is cheap to cast and is able to take down most creatures early game. Ixalan's Binding and Cast Out are musts for creatures that have triggers when they go to the graveyard. Fumigate can be replaced by Settle the Wreckage, but in my opinion, helps us more to either stall or get large amounts of mana for Azor's Gateway.

Sideboard

Huatli, Radiant Champion: Originally on the main board, she was sideboarded due to the fact that she wasn't really the main priority of playing. She can be quite situational, so if we know that the opponent's deck is late game based, we side her in and we'll be able to keep Tilonalli's Summoner by pumping her.

Old Growth Dryads: Old Growth Dryads is a way to get out a powerful creature out quicker. This is for against faster decks. The only downside is giving our opponent a bit of ramp, but can help in giving us a quicker way to beat them down.

Shaper's Sanctuary: If we find out the opponent is running an instant/sorcery heavy deck, especially removal, then this will help us gain card advantage and replace whatever we lose.

Ashes of Abhorrent: This helps against God Pharoah decks especially, but can help against creature heavy decks or tokens (like vampires). This is especially useful against aggro creatures, like Glorybringer.

Angel of Condemnation: This is a bit of a weird card to keep in the sideboard, but is kind of a way to deal with evasion and to help protect our creatures. We can flicker our blocking creature to prevent damage, then to keep our creature alive. We can also use this as a type of Cast Out.

Kari Zev, Skyship Raider: This is helpful to board in if we find that the opponent isn't running a lot of creatures, as blocking Kari Zev would be a bit more of a nuisance and help get damage in. With Path of Discovery, we can trigger explore to either help get lands or dig through cards we don't want.

Verdant Rebirth: This is also another helpful card to board in against removal. This deck is very weak to removal, so to either gain card draw or to prevent a creature from going to the graveyard is a blessing.

TL;DR The main pieces in this combo are just Tilonalli's Summoner and Path to Discovery. Create tons of tokens that stay in the battlefield from Anointed Procession or explore from Path to Discovery. Can gain card draw, can buff them, can gain health, but not completely necessary. Ghalta is easy to get out, and Tendershoot Dryad can be used to stall.

And of course, thank you for reading this really jank deck idea I made with a couple of friends! If you have any suggestions on how to format this and any improvements I could make, feel free to do so. I'm also taking tips on general deckbuilding advice if you have any. Have a good day/night!
