This deck is essentially a gemstone glass cannon. Based on the much more competitive grishoalbrand decks, the point is to go off with a bang on turns 1-4 with Griselbrand, Goryo's Vengeance, Faithless Looting, the leylines and chancellors, and fast mana in Simian Spirit Guide and Gemstone Caverns. Through the Breach and Unburial Rites serve as kind of the late game replacement for Goryo's Vengeance, because in either case the creature stays alive or can be reanimated again, unlike goryo.

The deck tends to be really hit or miss, but it is possible to get Griselbrand out on turn 1 with Gemstone Caverns, Goryo's Vengeance, any other land, and either Thought Scour milling Griselbrand (on opponent's turn 1 if they start the game), or Faithless Looting and Simian Spirit Guide with a Griselbrand in hand. Advice is very appreciated.
