varolz Modern Brew.

Death's Shadow and Vexing Devil for Varolz's scavenge Ability, also Sheltering Ancient. All of them usually go to the yard on their own, and have exellent P/T to cmc Ratios. Tarmogoyf usually gets killed pretty fast either, and if not, well i'm okay with that

Preferably targets for the counters are Walking Ballista(obviously), but Varolz himself gets the job done also. Birds of paradise can do wonders, if they get 13 +1/+1 counters from a Death's Shadow
