A mono Blue deck is becoming more of an option at the moment. There are some interesting game changing new blue cards out there. This deck can keep up quite well, but you need to have a decent starting hand.A 1 land openingdraw is not an option. 3 lands is preferrable.

At the beginning of the game this deck struggles against fast aggro decks. You need to play extremely defensive at start.

This deck stands or falls with the ability to slow the opponent down long enough till you're at a point where you have a card advantage.

There are a number of counterspells in the deck. Depending on your opening draw this deck plays control or as a defensive creature deck.

Vortex Elemental , Whisk Away and Encrust are your only 'removal' options, so use them wisely.

Use the draw spells + Bident of Thassa to keep you hand full (important for control) and to boost your Chasm Stalker as a surprise. Don't underestimate the Bident's ability to force your opponent to attack. Great to gain control over the board.

Master of Waves remains the gamewinner, and with a couple of multi permanents in play (sphinx, Encrust , Bident of Thassa, Shorecrasher Elemental ), sprouts masive tokens.It will also boost the other elemental creatures in this deck.

Same works very well to get lots of extra mana from Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx.

This deck remains vurnable to Enchantments and manifest decks.AEtherspouts + Bident of Thassa solves the Manifest problem, if you have the mana.Still looking for a reliable enchantment remover. Kiora's Dismissal is only a mediocre stopgap.
