Release the Kitties! (Modern Cat Tribal) (Modern MTG Deck)

The deck tries to put the pressure on early with Loam Lion , Wild Nacatl and Fleecemane Lion, with Rancor adding some extra firepower as necessary. Tethmos High Priest can keep some of the tempo going by returning the earlier cats back to the field with Selesnya Charm/Rancor.

Ajani's Chosen along with Door of Destinies/Coat of Arms makes things interesting if the game progresses, bringing more and more cats to the field as you throw down Oblivion Ring, Rancor, Nylea's Emissary and Pacifism. Rancor synergizes particularly well with Tethmos High Priest and Ajani's Chosen , as you can trigger the High Priest's heroic ability, then move Rancor onto the created token which can then die and bring Rancor back to the hand. Coat of Arms has proven to be pretty nice as a finisher.

Been working on a sideboard, but it's far from done. Comments and suggestions for improvement are welcome!

Sideboard, some modifications — July 20, 2015

Added a sideboard and made a few changes to the deck itself.

I added Qasali Pridemage, which is just solid and versatile overall on top of fitting very well into the deck.

Descendants' Path is really neat. On top of giving you the chance for getting a cat out for free every turn, it also specifically lets you [b]cast[/b] them, which will trigger [[Door of Destinies].

Rubblebelt Maaka is something I've been curious about for a while. Its main use will be the Bloodrush, allowing you to get in for those last few points of damage without fear of having it countered, but is also able to be used as a creature or door trigger if the situation calls for it. One issue is that the buff won't trigger the heroic on Tethmos High Priest, which is a little sad. I'll be trying it out to see if it works out.

The sideboard will need some work, but it at least gives some decent amount of flexibility to deal with various threats.
