this deck focuses on gaining life with creatures with lifelink and slowly ticking away at your opponents life total with Vizkopa Guildmage's second ability, which is used in conjuction with Ajani, Mentor of Heroes' ultimate, causing your opponent to lose 100 life. Sanguine Bond can be used in place of the guildmage in case of heavy creature removal.
Creatures
Hopeful Eidolon
,
Soulmender
and
Soldier of the Pantheon
are early sources of lifegain to put you ahead early, and hopeful can be bestowed later game to make some of your later game creatures more potent
Scavenging Ooze and
Voracious Wurm
can get very big very quickly in this sort of deck, and scooze is filled with utility against any kind of deck
Underworld Coinsmith
acts as an early source of lifegain and can kill our opponent if we have enough life and mana to spend late game
the guildmage is part of our gameplan, as it gives any of our creatures lifelink and can double the damage one with lifelink would deal if it connects (by having the opponent lose life equal to the amount youve gained)
Archangel of Thune is just plain good in a lifegain deck
Other Spells
ajani allows for a very big lifeswing (usually fatal) lategame with his ultimate and can make our lifelinking creatures bigger, and can just be a card advantage engine and is a very big threat
sanguine bond is another, less versatile guildmage
Abrupt Decay can remove early threats + get rid of detention spheres
Whip of Erebos gives all creatures lifelink -- which is good for the lifegain plan and can recur creatures if needed
the sideboard is still in the works
