This is a slightly-more-aggressive-than-usual variant of Abzan Tortured Existence built around Food synergies with Cauldron Familiar. The Bartered Cow + Tortured Existence engine is the deck's primary Food source. Ideally, you want two of them so you can loop them with Tortured Existence, which makes a Food for every mana you spend. Then with a sac outlet like Carrion Feeder in play and a cat in the graveyard, you can drain your opponent by however much black mana you have at instant speed every turn!

Thorn of the Dusk Rose is pretty good in this build because it lets you dredge twice per turn which helps you assemble the combo a little faster. Gingerbrute is an extra Food that also lets you attack unblocked to get back the Monarch, and the deck also features the new Marauding Blight-Priest as a passive clock that triggers off Golgari Brownscale, Cauldron Familiar, and Food.
