Colour fixing —Sept. 17, 2012

After playing this IRL i realised that the land was as epic as I had hope and I was dropping quite a few each turn or in other turns and i never went short for land, only problem was it was mainly colourless or black due to Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth. For this reason i reduced the swamp count, increased the forest count and added Prismatic Omen and Chromatic Lantern which i sadly cannot use yet haha! :-) i need this mainly for my general who can be really abused with the amount of available mana in the deck. I also ordered Azusa, Lost but Seeking as I could not just depend on Oracle of Mul Daya and to be fair to the deck my Exploration has not arrived yet either, so hopefully when this gets played again it will drop many lands each turn and keep me in the right colour blend to play more efficiently

Hey, just wanted to pop by and say thanks for the suggestions on my EDH deck. I figured I would return the favor, but honestly I think you've got things under control here! Looks great.

Hi there! Stumbled upon this deck. Looks great! +1

I have a couple of options for you, not sure if they've already been suggested: since you're trying to ramp, and this is a sac deck, Sakura-Tribe Elder seems awesome here. It's in all my decks that run green for sure. Also, I'm not sure you really need Sylvan Scrying --I know you're looking I use a lot of land, but 1) ramping should get you there, 2) you have Primeval Titan and access to tutors, and 3) you have tutors you can use if for some reason you reeeeally need a particular land. I just don't see the scrying bein more valuable than, say, an Animate Dead . Plus Sylvan Scrying doesn't ramp you whatsoever. Also, Reprocess doesn't seem good without running a stronger token theme, and as it is now, I feel like it would need to be played alongside a Living Death (you're not running an enormous amount of creatures), which should probably be in here in the first place :-P.

Let me know what you think of these ideas so I can have better ones in the future haha :-)

Also +1 my stuff if you feel like it :-P

hey cheers for the great suggestions! agreed on the scrying actually mate i played the other day and seemed to have too much land manipulation for sure! will playtest without it and the tribe elder is a great inclusion! reason im not running Living Death is cuz my mates run alot of reanimation decks too vamps and The Mimeoplasm and zombies all in the same game so sadly it would not provide an advantage so i try to ramp up and get there before the others instead haha. Definitely agree on Reprocess too, was gonna be good as it was gonna be token based but took that out and left reprocess in....will take it out as well haha! more death spells in place of these thinges maybe?hmmmm i will take a scan of your decks soon mate! thanks for the great suggestions and +1 :-)

Ok, round 2:

Deity of Scars doesn't seem to do anything besides be a beater--as such, I think a better card could replace him.

card:Seer's Sundial I think is just way too slow. It's the same reason kind of that I took out Deathrender from my deck.

Rancor (great in limited or standard, a little less than average in edh I'd say--there are better cards to choose from within the huge card pool available to edh), Carnage Altar (expensive to activate, better sac and card draw options available), and Big Game Hunter (one-time effect unless you recur it, plus the effect is just ok) seem fairly weak here. Suggestions for replacements to follow...

Also, what is the budget for your deck? Forgot to ask you earlier :-( medium, medium-high, high, unlimited?

Options for replacements: graveyard hate if your meta is all reanimator, for sure: card:Tormod's Crypt, Withered Wretch , Scavenging Ooze , Leyline of the Void ...

More reanimation-themed stuff: Animate Dead (amazing card), Reanimate (also amazing), Fauna Shaman maybe but maybe not, Entomb , Dread Return (totally in theme!). There are a couple for you to ponder.

Creatures: Necrotic Ooze seems great here. Yavimaya Elder perhaps. Grave Titan for dang sure!!!! Haha. Ok. Hit me back and I'll see what else might work :-)

Also I don't really think Exquisite Blood is better than another card that would fit your theme, such as Fleshbag Marauder .
