A weird brew of mine that is some sort of hybrid between tempo pirates, grixis control, and favorable winds fliers. I feel that it is probably a jack of all trades but a master of none, but I am willing to give it some more time playtesting. You can find a breakdown of card choices below. Thanks for stopping by!

Creatures/Win-Cons Show

Jace, Cunning Castaway is the namesake card of the deck. Right now I have him as a 2 of, but I could easily see upping this to 3 copies. It is great to play him on an empty board on turn 3 after Censoring my opponent's turn two play. Once he starts looting he is just really solid with all of the evasive threats in this deck. The interaction between him and an online Drake Haven is also really great.

Drake Haven is one of the main win conditions. Between Jace's looting and all of the cycling/discard outlets you can easily make 3 or more Drakes in a game.

Favorable Winds turns all of the 1 power fliers into pretty substantial threats and makes the drakes 3/3s which can really close out a game quickly.

Kitesail Freebooter has been a really great card. It is a great tempo play against most decks as it can steal an important piece (God-Pharaoh's Gift, planeswalker, or that removal spell that could kill your freebooter) and then start chipping in early damage. It gets buffed by Favorable Winds and helps to loot with Jace. I only have 3 copies currently but I could see adding the final copy. My issue with 4 is that it isn't the best late game play.

Siren Stormtamer is another flier that works for all the same reasons listed above, and can protect my freebooter or another creature.

Daring Saboteur is not a flier, but is a good evasive threat that can get in some decent damage and can loot which is what we need to get Drake Haven going. This card is also not a bad top deck late game since we will have the mana needed to activate it.

Ruin Raider is a recent addition and also not a flier, but with the other fliers in this deck it is quite easy to trigger Raid and have a poor man's Bob every turn

Other Spells Show

Censor is a super great early tempo play and can really burn some decks that really want to play on curve. In playtesting against Dinos it has been a complete all-star. It also cycles which helps with Drake Haven.

Chart A Course is to refill my hand with new cards and help activate Drake Haven. It is very likely that this will just be a 2 mana draw 2 in this deck, but if I really want to trigger Drake Haven this can be cast pre-combat.

Hieroglyphic Illumination is for some card draw and for cycling away to activate Drake Haven.

Fatal Push is the best removal in standard. It might lose some potency if big creatures take off in this new standard, but no reason not to start with the full playset.

Sideboard Show

Abrade for any of the pesky artifacts that are still around the format.

Crook of Condemnation for graveyard decks.

Doomfall for hexproof/indestructible creatures.

Duress for control matchups mostly.

Negate for control matchups (farewell Dispel :( ).

Sweltering Suns for aggro.
