Duskmantle Seer Brother Is Watching You

Standard UBR (Grixis) Vampires

Sideboard

So this is a grixis vampire build that highlights Duskmantle Seer. It's a surprisingly competitive deck that is really fun to play. This isn't going to win you a ton of tournaments probably, but it's certainly a pretty cool deck.

So in four rounds I won the first 3 and agreed on a tie for the last one

Match 1: Not really sure what it was, but seemed mono-white from a pretty new player. 2-0

Match 2: I got a weird match-up again, this guy was playing a hand-disruption discard deck. I just held onto lands once I got a third on the battlefield to not let Shrieking Affliction get me, and it went pretty easy.

Match 3: This was a Golgari agro deck. Lotleth Trolls seemed troublesome, but Liliana was good for me forcing sacrifices I should probably put in a second. Game 1, control of the board seemed to go back and forth a lot, eventually with him having just his third Lotleth Troll out and 11 life and I had a Snapcaster Mage and Duskmantle Seer out and 8 life. I swung with the Seer and passed, to see a flood of creatures from hand discarded and scavenged onto the troll for game. I boarded out 2 Negates and 1 Essence Scatter for 2 Sever the Bloodline and the 4th Stromkirk Captain. The next games had similar beginnings, but I eventually won each of them. Off of un-needed Duskmantle triggers each time too.

Match 4: We agreed on a tie and played for fun. I lost 1:2 He played Orzhov Zombies (One of my favorite decks right now) Game 1 he flat out wrecked me, being too fast and getting a Cartel Aristocrat. Game 2 I boarded in 2 Sever the Bloodlines and a 4th Stromkirk Captain again. I took out the aristocrat immediately cause they are too good in conjunction with zombies, and would make sever a dead card for me almost. This game I took control of better, and was able to take down with a little bit of time. Third game was close, and we were both top-decking for awhile, but when he got Obzedat out and I was down to 5 life, it was a very short clock, and I lost. They were good games though!

Basically this deck is a lot better than I was expecting it to be.
