Stompy Greeeen Devotttion

Verdurous Gearhulk gave me the idea of making a stompy mono-green deck based around counters. T3 and 4 this deck can really go off.

Simple deck, go big and go hard.

The Not So Obvious Choices Show

Birds of Paradise: Mana ramp, devotion, and a flyer that can sneak through with some counters added

Wurmcoil Engine: With the four Chord of Calling's I thought it would be nice to have a small bomb to Chord for. Wurmcoil is just a fantastic card

Scavenging Ooze: Strong graveyard hate, makes it's own counters, and with all the green mana available I can exile whole graveyards in one go

The Obvious Choices Show

Experiment One: Gets big fast, generates counters

Strangleroot Geist: and can evolve an Experiment One twice in a turn

Avatar of the Resolute: and often comes out as a 5/4

Leatherback Baloth: and stupidly efficient

Predator Ooze: and making counters all over the shop

Thrun, the Last Troll: Because he is Thrun

Verdurous Gearhulk: Chording into one of these is the main reason for making this deck. Putting counters on four creatures then casting an Avatar is ridiculous

Budget Considerations Show

Doubling Season: Can be swapped with Hardened Scales or potentially Aspect of Hydra or Rancor

Wurmcoil Engine: Any cheap bomb

Thrun, the Last Troll: Dungrove Elder or Obstinate Baloth

Birds of Paradise: Elvish Mystic
