It’s worth noting that Rielle, the Everwise will only track the first instance if you discarding a card, so for example in the instance of Lightning Storm will only ever draw you 1 additional card, as each land discard is a seperate trigger.

With this in mind, i’d suggest ditching Rielle, the Everwise, as its usefulness is really limited, and its mana cost is awkward.

I’d also suggest ditching a bunch of your other “gimmicks” to focus on assembling the combo ASAP. Hivestone and Manaweft Sliver are faar too reliant on eachother, and not really needed. Song of Creation feels like it is a nonbo alongside your main plan - you need a full hand, not lands on the battlefield. Quandrix Apprentice also feels pretty “meh”.

Cards to consider:

  • Quirion Ranger can return a land to your hand in a pinch

  • Life from the Loam would be amazing here, but might be outside your budget.

  • the big thing you need is a fast way to get all your combo pieces, otherwise you’ll struggle to ever assemble it. Stuff like Opt, Serum Visions, and Consider are all helpful for this and i’d suggest filling the deck with as many of these as you can fit.

Firstly, edited it to show my commander, didn't realize it wasn't shown, thanks! Then I was able to trim down to the right number of cards. 1. The World Tree is there for its second ability that grants all lands I control the ability to tap for any once I have 6 lands, so that color-specific mana is less of a worry. 2. I did get rid of Hivestone, thanks for getting my attention to it. 3. I think I'm gonna keep these for now, just because they are still lands and they give the potential for a lot of mana ramp, which can be used a lot to get things like Morophon, the Boundless out, as well as tutoring using Sliver Overlord. 4. I thought about this, but with this deck, If I were to get most of my library out (creatures, enchants, and artifacts mostly), then I would be able to swing out and win by combat dmg, or win in other ways such as Spiteful Sliver and Blasphemous Act, all while keeping my guys alive with Sliver Hivelord.

I really appreciate the criticism on this deck and please continue, I'd love to see how I can improve it!

hey TinyyTitan,

Curious on a few things, who is your commander for this deck? I didn't want to assume, as I was comparing this to my sliver deck Sliver me timbers as I don't see many sliver decks these days.

Noticed also that you are running 104 cards, you looking for suggestions for trimming down?

With running a near tribal sliver deck, cards like:

  1. The World Tree I could be not understanding the deck mechanics as this feels like an odd addition to look up god cards in a sliver deck?
  2. Hivestone wouldn't your changelings slivers?
  3. Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth your black mana cards are very few in the deck to need every mana count as a swamp. Cabal Coffers I see makes your mana base bigger, kinda see where you are going.
  4. Laboratory Maniac might be something to consider if you draw your deck and someone pulls a Fog type instant to nullify your sudden armada summoning.

This card Spirit of Resistance I'll be snagging for my deck, this is just a card to annoy my POD a little bit more.

I am more curious than criticizing.

Sorry about forgetting to include what budget per card was. Maximum per card would be roughly $20 I am willing to spend unless it significantly increases aspects of the deck.

I actually did not know about Regrowth as a card since usually I only really touch green when building 5-color decks. Most of the time I have recur to grab Reflections of Littjara and before I got Sliver Queen and some of the other Slivers, I was running Hivestone so it is kinda of a leftover card I retained as I wasn’t too sure what to replace it with.

Patriarch's Bidding was floating around in my mind of if I should throw that in or not, but after see more than a couple other decks similar to mine running it or sideboarding it. I think that would work well.

Mana Base is something I know I kinda have a couple problems will, and haven’t really found a solution in the cards I own, so I am open to any recommendations.

Thank you for the suggestions.

If the boardstate is EXACTLY as you described, your opponent will have a 4/4 frog and it's controller's life total will be doubled when it deals combat damage to a player.

The reason for this is that an object's characteristics are applied in a series of layers and then within those layers in timestamp order. Since you played the Frogify after the Hivestone the creature gains the creature type sliver and then loses all creature types besides "frog". Cloudshredder Sliver will not apply since it isn't a sliver. The Celestial Mantle will actually have all of its effects no matter the timestamp because Frogify sets the base P/T and Mantle gives a buff instead of modifying base; and the life doubling ability is not granted to the creature.

Hi. If an opponent has a creature in play which I enchant with a Frogify, however they have Cloudshredder Sliver in play and a Hivestone and then further enchant their creature with a Celestial Mantle does it become a flying sliver with +3/+3 and the effect of doubling the controller's life total in addition to being a 1/1 frog?

Definitely an interesting commander choice. The moment I mentioned potentially swapping in Slivdrazi as my commander my playgroup's reaction was this:

enter image description here

I can't help but ask - why the inclusion of elves? They aren't Slivers and you don't have any of the usual suspects for converting non-slivers into slivers ala Hivestone or Conspiracy. I think you could do with more of a Sliver token generation strategy, as they would be your real game winners - I think.

So, I've been thinking. I really want to try to take advantage of the second ability on Sliver Overlord , and I found Hivestone . I'm thinking to maybe try and give that to the opponent and steal all of their creatures, then either get Hivestone back, or copy it somehow and make the creatures I've stolen all Slivers too.
