I'll be honest, building this deck was a royal pain in the ass. Surveil is awesome, don't get me wrong, but when the mechanical identity of the Dimir up to GRN was milling YOUR OPPONENT, and then suddenly the strategy takes a drastic 180-turn and now you love putting cards into your OWN graveyard. This divide shoots us in the leg at the very early stage of choosing our mythic out of available guild leaders: Lazav, Dimir Mastermind has an awesome design, but we don't really mill out opponent that much (with a few self-sufficient exceptions). Lazav, the Multifarious is kinda weak in a deck NOT focused on him, because he plays like a more mana-intensive, your graveyard-only Dimir Doppelganger in most cases.

So I'm making an exception and allowing a small home errata: Lazav, Dimir Mastermind now triggers on a card getting put into any graveyard, not just your opponent's. This way, he can benefit both from self-sufficient millers like Consuming Aberration and Szadek, Lord of Secrets, removal spells and the entire surveil package alike. After all, it makes zero sense to me that he won't transform into the shape of an allied creature if the situation calls for it.

Alternate art: Syphon Insight is a perfect candidate to have something like Never Happened. Agony Warp could also use some Dimir reflavoring.

As always, I am more than happy to provide explanations for any card included (or excluded).
