I dig it! Would have gotten suggestion karma if you'd tagged it. D: What would you drop? (tag the card again in your comment :P)

The suggestion function has been borked for a couple days now. I have to go in and edit to suggest Beast Within. I'll look for cita after I get home.

I use Banishing Light - Song of the Dryads - Unravel the Aether - Fate Forgotten - Seal of Cleansing - Qasali Pridemage in my deck exactly for THAT kind of cards. + Grave Pact and other annoying permanents. And I will add Quarantine Field.

The Pridemage sounds nice. Same with Unravel. What might you suggest dropping?

Why do you run Leyline of Sanctity?

Was just a suggestion from a friend in my playgroup. Is it bad? :O

not particularly, but it sees play in modern because burn decks are a thing. But in Commander the odds of having it in your opening hand is a lot less, and the hexproof, unless used to combat a specific deck in your meta, is generally subpar.

Add an Ancient Tomb

I don't know, it's up to you. Maybe Chromatic Lantern or a mana producing creature. If you think you have enough color fixing. You already have many multi-color lands

KCisSICKnasty says... #11

I could drop that for Beast Within. And I was meaning to. lol What land should I drop? :O

KCisSICKnasty says... #12

So, maybe drop Elvish Mystic for the Pridemage?

Iron_Cube says... #13

If you really want to cut a land, probably Blossoming Sands

Cut Decimate for Ancient Tomb. You run very few lands. I never go below 36 personally, and Decimate's issue is you need to target all four permanent types to cast it, so it's a very inflexible card.

True, true. Never thought of that.

If you play 4 player EDH alot Decimate always has legal targets and it's a nice way to remove a particularly troublesome card without making enemies since noone feels picked on as long as you spread the targets around. It's up there with Beast Within and Krosan Grip in 4 player EDH in my opinion.

Any suggestions on my mana base? Maybe mana dorks to drop and signets to add?

hello! I like this deck, and I think I subconsciously stole part of your name (Sorry). :/ Would you check mine out? Uril-ly want to do that?

I think I should recommend again Spirit Mantle. If you play Holy Mantle and Unquestioned Authority,
you know protection from creatures is amazing.. Maybe remove Hammerhand ?

Kala Hello ! I didn't know you were also interested in Uril ! You can check my deck if you want more inspiration. I will check yours to see what I can help you with.

Kala: Many thanks and I'm okay with it. lol +1 if you like and I'll check yours out!

Iron_Cube: As for Spirit Mantle for Hammerhand, do I really want to drop what little R I have?

@ SorinDankov If it makes the deck better, then yes. There aren't all that many red staples, save perhaps Wheel of Fortune and Gamble.

Here's my dilemma:

Playtesting this, Hammerhand has shown its usefulness. 1 drop, haste, +1/+1 (+3/+3 with Uril), and can only be blocked by 2 or more creatures is a great way to kill someone off late game after bringing Uril back or even to just force them to block with a more troublesome creature instead of a chump blocker.

I'd LOVE to add Wheel of Fortune, Enchantress's Presence, Idyllic Tutor, and I'm down to even add the Spirit Mantle. What should I drop (aside from Hammerhand because it hasn't been a dead draw to me yet)?

A suggestion to me earlier was to re-add Ghostly Prison and run Armageddon. Thoughts?

I'm very close to finishing this deck (running proxies so I can playtest atm) so whatever needs to go, I'm willing to hear cases now. Even if I previously was against them. lol

Messenger's Speed can be removed I think. Haste is not necessary, your Uril, the Miststalker have hexproof, it should survive 1 turn. And what +2/+2 trample ? Looks like a bad Rancor to me. Spirit Mantle will make Uril +3/+3 and unblockable instead of trample. I say it's even better to not get blocked than to hit through creatures. Your goal is to race on 21 commander damage while your opponent have to take all your life points. Your creature can't be targeted, they need to counterspell it, make you sacrifice it, of Wrath of God everything. Your Miststalker can survive one turn without haste...

Messenger's Speed for Spirit Mantle sounds good. I can dig it. (:

Made some extra changes. Decided to drop Cultivate in favor of Wheel of Fortune since I run enough ramp as is. Scourge of the Nobilis also struck my fancy so I dropped Hammerhand. Thoughts?
