Modern Gruul Stompy

This is a deck I made for my brother to get him into MTG. It is a straight forward build featuring fast and powerful beaters and a good dose of removal and ramp

There's two ways to win: either attacking with multiple creatures or just one at a time empowered with Exalted (like when we get too many dorks in a match for example)

Creatures:

• Ignoble Hierarch and Noble Hierarch provide ramp, Exalted and chump blocking
• Goblin Guide is a fast early game creature and a good support for the fatties
• Questing Beast is an awesome monster with great abilities and presence. It easily becomes a prime target for removal, and so we employ 4 copies despite it being Legendary
• Garruk's Harbinger dodges some removal and has a Commune with Nature effect whenever it connects
• Glorybringer is an elusive attacker that can muster extra removal
• Grand Warlord Radha rewards attacks with more mana

Instants and Sorceries:

• Lightning Bolt brings flexible damage
• Flame Slash is cheap removal
• Vines of Vastwood can be used for protection and/or extra power

Artifacts and Enchantments:

• Tribute to the World Tree fortifies the Hierarchs and Guides and draws cards when playing the other creatures
• Rhonas's Monument reduces the costs for Harbinger, Beast and Warlord, our most important attackers, while giving more strength and Trample

Sideboard:

• Ferocity of the Wilds grants extra power and Trample. Used when facing Tokens, Aggro and annoying blockers
• Relic of Progenitus counters graveyard strategies
• Wilt is deployed against opposing artifacts and enchantments
• Heroic Intervention provides amazing protection
• Torpor Orb nullifies ETB effects
