== So I played this deck as my first Standard deck back when I started playing Magic. It was super fun to play. ==
Looking for any ideas you have, please comment! +1 if you like it!
W/U Spirit deck. Aggro deck, gets real big turns 4-7.
Key Cards:
Call to the Kindred - This card lets me pull out my Drogskol Reaver for free, and search up other cards. Because many cards like Doomed Traveler and
Drogskol Captain
have many subtypes, I can enhant either to find the card I want. Two out at once can prove tough to race, 3 is nearly lethal.
Drogskol Reaver - My only wish is that this had vigilance. With only one
Drogskol Captain
it is still hitting for eight, gaining me life, and drawing me through my lands, hopefully, so Call to the Kindred can pull up my bombs.
Dungeon Geists - Either dropped for free or for 4, this card is utterly fantastic. Locks down Falkenrath Aristocrat and even Primeval Titan with ease.
Niblis of the Urn
- Versatile, knocks back an early
Chapel Geist
. White's Pyreheart Wolf.
Sideboarding:
Against a deck featuring Primeval Titan I will switch in the Sunpetal Grove and Sulfur Falls for a Plains and Island, and Kessig Wolf Run for a Plains. Using Phantasmal Image once, and then attacking, or copying twice, will bring me up a Wolf Run, an Inkmoth Nexus, or maybe just a Glacial Fortress.
Against a non-white deck,
Spectral Rider
packs a real punch. I would replace
Voiceless Spirit
and block much less.
Plans for the Deck:
My friend lent me a Beguiler of Wills in place of
Soul Seizer
and it worked wonders. I think that instead of Beguiler I will replace it with another Phantasmal Image and try to sneak in another Ponder or two, quite possibly a Gitaxian Probe.
